  1. So on a standard approach/landing what flap settings are normally used ? Im using 30 at the moment but should I be using less ? Sorry to barge in.Andy Blake
  2. Thanks for the info, i was wondering what the correct temps were.Andy Blake
  3. I sort of know how you feel. After years of flying with using a GTX 295 and spending hour after hour changing settings and at best it would still stutter and miss frames (even with sli disabled). Gone for a single GPU now and I really feel that this is how it should have been. I will still try some of the setting just out of curiosity but really am loving flying at the moment.Andy Blake
  4. I fly for UPS VAC who operate MD's. Good routes and a good bunch of guys.Andy - UPS1305
  5. Up the page file allocation to 10 000 from whatever it was. I also had this a while a go but I'm sure this fixed it. Its only a two min job as well so worth a try. Im at work at the moment but just whack it into google.
  6. I am sure its to do with the page file allocation on your HDD. As i said i had exactly the same but then changed it to 10k and fixed. Have a look on google but its only a 2 min job at most. Andy
  7. I think i upped my memory allocation using the settings in windows to 10 000 from whatever it was. Since then I have had no OOM errors. Its the amount of space on your HDD used for memory. Even though you have loads of RAM this might help. I'm at work so cant find the exact route to change this setting at the moment. Andy
  8. I too have had a strange black screen problem. If i go to save a flight or into another menu the screen goes black, i can still hear the sim working just cant get the graphics to show up again ? I have a new G card which is a nice upgrade on what i had. So at the moment I am just having to make sure i dont hit save flight insted of arm spoilers, which i always do lol.Andy
  9. Flying a cessna already in the air for 15 mins is a lot different to what the guys are talking about dude......Its one thing recognising the systems but to do all the good stuff and then working out all the correct speeds/flap settings....on your own....VERY difficult. But I bet there would be a few that could do a good job if it was "last chance saloon". I've flown gliders for 20 years and know I would struggle in a situation like that but always wonder.Andy
  10. So its a big NO saving the NGX as default flight. I will change this when i get back tonight.Andy
  11. Brilliant, thankyou Steve. I was trying to find this the other day after two crashes.Andy Blake
  12. I have had two fatal errors within the last week and after some looking around i found that romoving some .DLL file is the way to fix this I hope. I can't remember the name of the file but i will have a look unless someone else knows what I am on about.
  13. I updated from a GTX295 (dual core) GPU to a GTX570 last week. I am really impressed with the FPS increase but i think that this is mainly due to the SLi with the 295. It was driving me mad with all the flickers etc.... I know FSX is mainly CPU intensive but sometimes a nice card updtate will surprise you. I really wasn't expecting how it is now, at Heathrow it doesn't go too much above 25-28 fps but its nice and smooth. I also have the FPS locked in inspector which i think helps put more power where its needed. This is a new update from the 280 drivers onwards now not just the beta drivers.Andy Blake
  14. Ahhhhh I'm with you. It would be great if it could model the rollover. ;-)Andy Blake
