Yup thanks so much. I haven't updated in ages so wasn't sure if there was this setting there before also? but never mind oh well. One more question please. Now when i import back my old profile, as you said...i find the timestamp i want and rename it to config-hid.lua right? However i have settings for mcp combo 2 also do i do the same for that too? rename to what exactly just incase? i see config mcp default and also config mcp2 default etc. i think just the config mcp 2 right? thanks swadeep

Hi. Thanks for response. Let me explain further so i know what i need to do exactly. 1. I just installed over the old one and did not do back up. I have now removed linda from modules and sound folder and copied over the new one again to do clean install. I backed up the linda-cfg/aircrafts folders before doing this separately elsewhere. I haven't copied the ones i want over yet. Ok I got it working now i think. Will report back if have any problem. Seems like i have to click SYNC for it to work. HI there. Yesterday I just downloaded latest LINDA, latest PMDG 747 V3 module and newest FSUIPC 4.963. I installed then and launched LINDA. It says EVERYTHING IS OK but now when I try to set up buttons on joysticks and throttles, it doesn't detect them when i press buttons on joysticks and throttle. Usually it will detect and show the number so i can make assignments. On top of that i seem to have lost all my control settings for every other aircrafts! I download new linda and just replaced over the old one. I guess i should have done backup first but i didn't. Does this mean my settings got replaced? This i can do again but I', still stuck with buttons not being detected. Please help. Thanks Swadeep

Hi Jim, Thanks for your reply. I have followed guide and my settings are quite low actually. All my airports are disabled too. Only the airport i am flying from and flying to are enabled. Can VAS really run out while we haven't really took off yet? Such an early stage. Thanks Swadeep

Hi there. I have moved over to P3D for a while now and my experience has been rather disappointing. With P3D i find myself worrying about OOM way a lot more than FSX. I had a more stable performance in FSX definitely. Trying everything but P3D is hard to become stable for me. Anyway so far getting better but getting CTD just like that last 2 times while taxi to active. Both times it happen during taxi to runway before departure. API.DLL is the cause of crash. Please advice and help. Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit Custom AI by myself using UTT and AIG flightplans. Around almost 300 airlines now. I use AirTrafficManager to limit AI. GTX680 Core i7 4790K oc to 4.5mhz 8GB Ram Thanks Swadeep

i have tried your settings from reading your pdf and even with lower settings i still sometimes get OOM ding and i dont even change views but i want to. something is crazy here. can you mention about your cfg please? is it clean or what all tweaks you did? i have around 280 AI bgls which i compiled myself from AIG and UTT flightplans and set AI at1% because that settings show all of AI but i use traffic limiter posted here to max of 40 aircrafts. maybe it's my settings in NI also which i should remove AA. can that play a part in OOM? Since i moved to P3D i find myself even more prone and worried about OOM. look forward to hearing from you soon.

i can tell you that the cost index used on thai 777 is 55. I am a pilot here in bangkok (GA pilot with CPL) and i've asked my flight school friend already to confirm as he is flying thai airways now on 777 and can confirm cost index is 55. hope this helps. please see quote actually from him. i used middle value cheers

hi there. i just downloaded the LAN livery for the 77F and did first flight on it from lima to miami. i have serviced based failures on. all was good and cruising but i left home a bit and when i got back the plane crashed! is there anyway to find out what happened? maybe the random failures? if i could find out what happened it would be great.please advice thanks swadeep

I have been noticing that the weather doesn't really get updated for long time. Sometimes 5-6 hours. Usually metar should be updated every 30 mins right? max 1 hour-2hours. Mine doens't at all. It's set to refresh every 15 mins already in settings. I end up having to quit ASN while in flight and launch it again then it will update. For example i am in flight now: It's now 0900Z and latest update at EGBB was 0750Z. This is the result of me having to quit ASN and launching it again as EGBB was last updated at 0300Z around when i took off. and 4-5 hours later it's still showing the same which is why i had to quit and launch again then it updates to 0750Z. Hope this makes sense. I see in the logs that i keep getting this 2 errors also: RADAR CONNECTION TIMEOUT WRONG FORMAT OF RADAR DATA PACKET (message size):0 running over network and followed all procedures already. add asn.exe and the other 2 dll fiiles to exception list on AVG already on noth FS pc and ASN pc and on FS pc i added FSX folder to exception list also. Connection shows FSX CONNECTED fine all along. Would appreciate any help thanks Thanks Swadeep please see below here for logs. apologies for long message.

After updating PMDG 777 to SP1 and while flying the 77W i noticed that all buttons i assigned earlier are still working (thrustmaster hotas warthog) but only 2 buttons switch doesn't work which is the PMDG ENG START switch for L and R. Any ideas? Thanks Swadeep

Well i managed to complete second flight (YMML-OTHH which is a 14 hours flight) without OOM! I did as suggested: 1. tml to 2048 2. mesh down from 100 to 75. however i avoided switching to see wing views often also and did not encounter rough weather at all so i'm thinking this may play a part..i'll try a few more flights and will report if anything. thanks swadeep

FPS seems to be okay i think. only made 1 flight. but taxi cam i tried and it halved my fps! no way it is friendly fps. not fuss about that since i use EZDOK and i set one external view behind nose wheel and use it when parking the 777. i will try another flight and if still same issue then i will definitely file ticket. they said they are tracking 2 main issues..can't believe this is not one of them! So much for all the wait and now struggling! :( after reformat PC and reinstall of FSX everything is same! cfg etc and all but amazed at this OOM. never got it before at all..never. i only added one extra add on which is FTX GLOBAL VECTOR..before i had just FTX GLOBAL base....wonder if this could be issue?? hmmm cheers swadeep

Hi there. Since i have been using FSX i have never got OOM before at all but just did my first flight with PMDG77W and 2 OOMs in my first flight? Is there something going on? I reformatted my com before this also and installed everything from scratch again. Never really had that much problem before SP and 77W. Please help thanks. i don't use the combo panel. i use just the thrustmaster warthog. which files would i need to copy then? last time i just copied the whole FSUIPC folder but then fsx never started again so i assume maybe the registry problem?? since this is clean install. i installed ezca earlier also and it crashed..i ended up having to reinstall fsx again. worse come to worse i may have to reassign again. thanks swadeep

I have just FTX Global. So i have to pay about 60 AUD to upgrade and get FTX GLOBAL VECTOR....is it worth it? if it's just to help the VABB scenery then it's crazy but if overall it's a must have then i'll look into it. thanks swadeep
