  1. I was not surprised that there would be a few hiccups with this complex sim since the release, Seen it all before with other sims when they were first released, just imagine in the very near future when 3rd party tube liners enter in the Ring the likes of PMDG, FS Labs and many others, and all the bugs are ironed out, this will be the best sim ever. For now I will keep flying in p3d v4.5 powered by 3rd generation cpu. I know hardware upgrade is inevitable and that’s ok. When the timing is right I’ll switch over. Wow, what a bright future it is in the sim world. Patience is a virtue.
  2. Hey , just a quick question , your first pic seems to be showing cockpit shadows am I seeing things?
  3. Hey thanks for the reply craig, much appreciated. Fsx has cockpit shadows in dx10 mode in which I have mine setup to. And I would say it probably is not as good as dx11. Unfortunately not too many third party aircrafts display that feature except the pmdg JS4100. There is a guy name frooglepete on utube , giving his first impression on the majestic dash8 and he mentioned the cockpit shadows in pilot edition will not be featured ,only in the pro edition and I just want to be sure if he has gotten that right. My fsx is running beautifully and I don't want to move to another platform just yet and also have xplane10 and dcs ,so no short of platforms.( I must say the cockpit shadows in dcs fc3 in dx9 is incredible ).It is definitely a must have feature and I hope it comes out in the pro edition. Thanks again Craig.
  4. I hope I've got this right ,I am talking about the sunlight reflecting giving off shadows inside the cockpit , similar to the fsx default air crafts in dx10 mode.If it's true I must not have set correctly. Have seen a demo of Q400 on p3d v2.0 with cockpit shadows and it looks stunning and realistic.
  5. Hey, is there a possibility of cockpit shadows in the pro version for fsx? Some one has mentioned it but I'm not sure if it"s true.
  6. Agree, if xplane 10 had the same amount of addon support as fsx did ,it would have taken over fsx months ago. come on guys , since the inception of fsx we are still buying a 32 bit platform worth $199 with still ongoing oom,s issues and it's only been out a few days now , and as far as I can see p3dv2 is just another version of fsx with some added cockpit candy ,sorry but I will stick with fsx for now. Xplane 10 will shine and be the primary ENTERTAINMENT 64 BIT platform when big companies like PMDG rolls out their brand new aircraft onto the scene and other reputable companies will follow suite. Xplane is the way of the future.
  7. I also have a GTX460 and have absolutely no problems with it what so ever, even under heavy clouds. If it's not broken don"t fix it.
  8. Look, I have an open mind with any new platform but will P3D v2.0 be much of an improvement over fsx and P3D scenery wise? And also will it be a 64 bit app, will pmdg support it?
  9. A brand new pmdg product for xp10. That's where my money is going to.
  10. I would buy FTX global for xplane 10 if it were possible, in fact all their addons for xp10 would be wonderful. Sorry, FSX has reached the end for me, goodbye 32 bit and CTD's , hello 64 bit DX 11.
  11. I cannot understand why you keep hassling the PMDG team for release dates when you have ngx ,j41,md11 etc to fly with.It takes years of practice to master even one aircraft alone ,and PMDG have produced incredible aircrafts that should keep you occupied for many many months . If you can fly them all masterfully since their release dates then it's an insult to the real pilots, whom have trained painstakingly for many years to reach their goal to fly either one of these aircrafts.I have my hands full learning and always finding something new . Be patient and let PMDG do their job if you want the best . Keep up the good work PMDG !
