Hi all, what about RC when I have installed both sims? To use RC do I need install them twice, in FSX and in P3D. Or is it ok to install RC into the "C" drive? FSX and P3D are sitting on "D". Those are two SSD´s (C=250G, D=500G) and the PC is Flightsim only. Tks for advice Peter

Some word to the problem getting a new key. I have already 6 mail requests sent. 4 to register@....... and 2 to DT@....... and have got no key But DT@.... sent me a reply, around 12 hrs later I had sent my req to him instead of register@.... He is a very funny guy, because he told me to send always such a request to register@...and you will receive your key within 15 minutes!!!!!!!!! I then wrote him back that I had sent already 4 mails to register… and did get nothing!!!!! That was the end of the conversation My blood pressure is increasing day by day. I feel for myself I have to a beg for a key!! Why does the dev not stop by sometimes at this forum? Maybe if he does, we can find out why it takes days or sometimes more than a week to get a key. Is it ignorance or arrogance? I don’t know. The only one who is helping here is Ray. And he cannot do so much. Why is he not authorized to issue that damn key. Look at the first topic here, written by JD. That is now in my eyes a yoke, nothing else. Peter Ray: thank you so much. Ray, very quick answer, as usual, but tooooooo late. I found a thread regarding this problem in P3D, and the member VIM FUEGO recommend another syntax??? for the registration of this dll. And I could think about, but, surprise, it worked Thanks, have a nice W/E Peter

Hi, after receiving my key I was thinking I can start now. False. After the first callup RC told me that I have a run time error 713 and I have to install the file MSSTDFMT.DLL So, I'm not a computer guy. Try to find a solution here within the Forum dedicated to this fault.But that is not helpful for me at all. Some reportet it work as recommended bei JD, the other say's it does not work. It also does not work for me, even I tried several times always at admin, but no luck. What to do now? I did not found that file within my windows\syswow64 folder. And I did not download from a scare internet side. Why is that program (RC) not complete when it is installed. So, finally I need some who tells me clearly step by step how to fix that problem Peter

I also waiting for the key since yesterday around 7PM utc. When I found this thread today, I send my request to Doug. Around 5PM today I got his answer: Pls send your key req to JD!!!!! What is going on here? I remember a year ago I also needed a new key. Within 1 hr I got them from JD. Why not again?? Peter

@Ernest That is a big problem and part of my frustation: there is no, rpt no differents between the 2 cfg files. Now I´m back on the original one, and the traffic is there. I cleaned up my pc and still everything works well. Once more thank you to all who tried to help Peter

Both slider at 20 perc each. Double checked the SimObjectPaths numers, there are no double ones and all in line (1,2,3,4,5,6). It comes in my mind, that some "shadows" sometimes makes problems with AI. So I untick for testing all shadows within FltSim option, but no luck Peter

I let FSX build a new cfg. Everything went well, except I do have no more ai traffic at all. (WoAI) I crosschecked with my old saved fsx.cfg and copied over the missing "SimObjectPaths" for the ai traffic, but still no traffic Any help very welcome Peter

Ray, last and hopefully final post: downloaded RC, got new key, started RC and pushed "Rebuild scenery DB" it works like it should. I did not make a flight because lack of time, but I loaded a plan into plane and work with RC untill push back request. all ok. I'm sure all the rest will work too. Ray When you press Rebuild Scenery DB do you see a question "Is this a WideFS configuration?" If so how do you answer it? NO, I do not see that question. If you select No you're prompted to enter the path to where FS is located. You would type (for example) C:\FSX and hit OK. Also NO This window is not coming up. My version is 4.00.3675, It is a CD version. Flight plans generated with FSC. Some Background info: I am using RC since JD release the software. I had never, rpt never any kind of problems before. Now I see, that in any install I made, there was never "Makerwys" installed by myself. If I had it in the past in my FSX folder, then it came together with a program installation. So, now I had to install "Makerwys" by myself . The question is now: If I push "Rebuild Scenery DB", why does RC not command Makerwys to complete this command???. Can it be that there is another program missing, which interact with both? I do think, if we solve the prob with scen rebuild, everything will be fine after that Peter

I deleted RC, make a fresh install, req key, inserted key, push "Rebuild DB": nothing, except the mentioned r4 rebuild messages- Not asking me for FSX location. 2. installed a complet back up, around 6 weeks old. I can load those old fltplan files and fly with RC. So far no prob. But, when I push "Rebuild DB" again, see above. No rebuild at all . Ray, yes, I was able to fly all flight plans, except the last one. When I load that one, the problem starts. After that, no more flight plan loading possible, even those are working before. I try to upload those plans, but no luck. I tried send you a message incl those flight plans, but the system do not let me attach those. I'm going to re install RC this afternoon and will report later. Many many thanks for your help and the time you invest. Peter

@ Ray and Ron Thank you both for your replies. But, I do think we do not understand each other. (maybe its me, because english is not my first language) So, I try again: after 5 flights with RC without any prob, than for the 6. flightplan request it came only that " "to @0 (Alt1-, Alt2) / RVSM" " into the RC flightplan window. That was the reason to start RC rebuild scenery DB via RC pushbutton. Now, instead asking me about network PC and telling me to type path to FSX, only the above in my orign post at row 4 and 5 mentioned reports came up. That is all. So, RC was working 5 flights with no problem, and when I start flight 6 nothing works anymore. Before we here getting stuck for the next couple of days, do you think is easier to reinstall RC. If so, can you provide me with a download link, because I use the old version from CD. Thanks, Peter

Ray, I*m not shure. But I think so because untill yesterday it was working without problem. I am not a computer guru, so pls tell me how I can check it out. If you mean the folder where RC get his flt plans from, that way is setup correctly. Peter
