  1. "Games for Windows Live" has changed it terms and conditions, so you can't connect to the server until you accept the new ones. Startup Flight, and you will be logged in as offline. Hit Home key and it will bring up the live program. Hit the connect button and it will ask you to accept the new T+C. Then you can login properly, and all your aerocaches etc will have magically returned.
  2. That does seem to be the right file. You should be seeing near the top a lot of 4 character names like this 1AK6 % 36AK % 37AK % 49AK % 4AK5 and so on. These are the IDs of the airports that you have landed at. If you put your cursor over an airport in the game, it tells you the name and has the ID in brackets after it.
  3. I did like this one. Some of the inlets around Hawaii are really good looking. Great screenshots to be had whipping your Zero under a bridge.
  4. Hello everybody. My airport count is now up to 165. Where are you all at? Mine's been going up recently after I started linking my jobs. i.e. I take a job, and when I get to the destination airport, I pick a job there. (Bouncing around Alaska obviously, I know I've hit everywhere in Hawaii.) (Previously I've landed at a couple of water strips, just for the sake of it, but otherwise it's all land based.)
  5. Flying along in a clandestine mission in my C-46, and watching football scores on 2nd monitor. After 10 minutes, wondering why it is going so slowly...... Oh...... Perhaps I should raise the landing gear.....
  6. Very useful utility. The loss of 2nd monitor had been annoying me. Perhaps not safest flying practice, but now I can stick a video on 2nd monitor while I'm flying along at <1000ft for 45 minutes.
  7. The search suggestion was very helpful. "Hawaii" Don't know how I'd have managed without that.
  8. According to my detector I managed to home within 0.1 of it, and still no sight.
  9. I had been hoping for a little fore-thought in the coding of the job-board, so that the appearance of a larger plane would increase the size of the specific jobs generated.
  10. Does this affect the size of jobs on offer? I'll almost certainly grab it on payday anyway, but it would be nicer if I was not being asked to ferry only 4 people around in it.
  11. Cool. I've not got gold on any of the ring things. Probably need to actually try and work out a path instead of randomly trying to take out lines of them. How many videos did you have to delete before having that one to post?
  12. Wow ! What a cool device! I've never heard of this thing before, but I really want one now. And I think my youngest could use one, he plays all those FPS games, and it looks really good for those as well. I only got Flight coz I searched for free games in Steam. And now having bought all the DLC for it, I am now looking at stuff like this. To go with the joystick it made me buy. Who knew free games were so expensive.....
  13. Well, I just got my world traveller award. Got a few more awards at the non-obsessive level to grab yet. Plus I want to unlock all the paint schemes on the planes I have. Which brings me to something that disappointed me, Maule and others showing up with 2 paintjobs. Can't be that hard to have different colours for us to gain.
  14. I only got this thing 2 weeks ago. The first time I've tried a flight sim since I had a jet-fighter thing on my Atari ST around 25 years ago. Still got a great many hours before I exhaust the delights of Alaska, but it is still disappointing. Maybe I should check out FSX. Amazon obviously keep a close eye on these things, I got an email from them yesterday, timed at 3.30 am, suggesting that I buy FSX:Deluxe Edition and Traffic X.
  15. Been flying around Alaska and just given up a clandestine cargo job after failing 3 times. The law aircraft just refused to leave. Furthest tag I had on it was showing 18NM away. That time I managed to crash... Was flying in mountain passes and trying to stay under 1000 feet, an overweight Maule does not like trying to climb suddenly when hitting a dead end. Before I've got them to about 4NM away and they've just disappeared.
