If you want to just shoot or bomb something and not have to worry about settings, joining, too much realism find old copies of Microsoft CFS or CFS3. Very basic good WWII shoot them up and then go do something else type sims.

I have been a long time subscriber to CP and PCP I like them both. My subscription did mysteriously dissapear around November or so. Being busy I didn't realluy notice because I don't sit by the mailbox waiting for each issue. I later found out the company had changed hands. I kept abreast of what was going on through their site. It looks like it was quite a shocker fo the new owners.I've followed the ups and downs of the new owners on the site with the problems of the takeover. I still am a fan of the magazine and don't want to seee it dissapear, I love hardcopy. I'll follow the trials and tribulations and will subcribe to the magazine. I can wait the three to six months for problems to be resolved and the mag to get back on track or at least attempt to. When it's gone it 's gone for good, No one else is attempting hardcopy these days. So I'll continue tor read my PCP, PDF Computer Pilot, FSPilot Magazine and other digital mags and be very patient and hope for the best. Good luck to them.

It happened to me once years ago, Not only was I heading for the wrong runway I was at the wrong airport. I had just received my PPL and was stationed in England in the Air Force. I had done one cross country. I was flying a leg to an airport and had to get a couple of vectors, a little lost in the haze and slightly of course and a little anxious. Approaching the airport the controller said you should have airport in sight. I finally responded after several attempts to spot runway and said airport in sight. No matter what this is where I was supposed to be landing. Approached airport reported long final but the controller kept saying we don't have you in sight. I didn't understand why because I have a great visual on the airport by now. Controller stated still don't have you in sight, boy he must be blind! Oops as came closer on final I realized that I was landing at an adjacent airport. Did go around and proceeded to my destination. In my mind I thought the controller having problems. I look back on it and I knew that's my airport no thoughts to this may not be right. Crazy but at the time I knew I was right!
