  1. I joined Alaska Virtual Airlines for the sole reason that their two primary aircraft are two of best aircraft sims on the market: the NGX of course and the (whispers) Q400 from that other guy. Plus most of their routes are within the continental US. I also just started playing with FS Economy and that has definitely breathed alot of life into the Jetstream 41.
  2. I say take your time and get the planes done right. When their done their done. I'd rather wait another year for quality than have right now with a ton of glitches and updates. P.S. Keep up the good work guys.
  3. Thanks, I guess I only ever checked avsim's library as thats where I get my afcads.
  4. Hello all, I was wondering if anyone would interested or kind enough to do an updated afcad of my home airport KCID Cedar Rapids, IA. I don't have any additional pictures other than whats on Googe Earth or maps. I'm not looking for perfection just updated taxiways and aprons and generic buildings where they should be. Also, don't worry, I'm not going to disappear in 6 months. Thanks
  5. It depends on what the 744v2 is. If it's an update to the existing 744 then I don't think its surprising at all. She's not called the queen of the skies for nothing and she will be flying the virtual skies for along time even if not the real world. She could definitely use a internal visual update if nothing else. And as such I would be ready and willing to pay out another 25-40 bucks for an "update". Now, if it's a completely new one off aircraft from the ground up, then I would be surprised and maybe a little disappointed. They have a good foundation that just needs updated. I would be hard pressed to pay out a full PMDG price for another 744.
  6. I think from a return on investment aspect the 787 makes the most sense. And it fills the Boeing gap in the lineup. As much as I think the Quality Wings 787 will be great, lets face it, it will not be a PMDG. The NGX has ruined almost all other aftermarket aircraft for me. I bought the QW Avro/146 and its a great aircraft, but I found myself wanting more systems detail. The 757/767 are also great aircraft, but they while there are a great many of them in the skies, they are of a slowly dying breed. Boeing is looking to the future with the 787 and as the only top shelf producer of flight sim Boeings, PMDG should follow suit. Now on the flip side of that. My guilty pleasure would be a MD-80 in any variant. I don't know what it is about that aircraft but I have always liked it. I have the CLS MD-80/87, and again while a great aircraft, it is lacking visually and in system detail. Also let me say I am eagerly waiting for the DC-6. This even in a "lighter" version will be fantastic. Just my 2 cents.
  7. If you set everything like it you want it and save the flight and load that flight again it should be the way you left it. The only thing it won't save is the jetway being attached. Also, I think in the CDU under options there is different panel states you can have it load such as cold/dark, short turn, long turn, and last panel state.
  8. Trust me, tried that. Was going to get an old kitchen table and set up two computers on it. Completely denied by the wife. We are already looking for a nice L shaped desk. I'll probably get yelled at eventually but I,m running three computers and four monitors right now for flying. The main with two monitors as stated above, one desktop for charts, planning, and fcoms. Then the laptop for Netflix. Dirty looks about electric bills and such.
  9. I bought two monitors for that purpose but actually prefer to run on one and use the other one for my open program windows eg; Squwakbox, Opus, Teamspeak. Of course, I could get a third monitor, still do that. Will need a bigger desk.
  10. I was wondering if one of the brilliant programmers out there could look into the autopilot being able to capture glide slope. The real manual for the Century III says that it can do it as an option. It seems that Carenado did not model this and was wondering if there was a way to get it to do it. The aircraft cfg under radios says glide slope is available for the nav 1 radio. If this is not an option then has anyone got a nice install of another autopilot. Thanks in advance.
  11. Forgive me. I was not trying to dismiss the legitimacy of the problem. I figured that out of the thousands of members of this site that more than 30 users would be using Tapatalk. Apparently I was wrong. The original statement came across as flippant and I replied the same way. The caution part feels a little harsh also but I guess I'll let that go. Keep up the good work and I hope you can find a solution to the problem.
  12. Thanks for the update(minus the tapatalk jab). After using the mobile site for a day I would still say that tapatalk is a much better way to navigate through the forums. I'm sure the "30" of us appreciate it. Sent from my SCH-R530U using Tapatalk 2
  13. Wookie replied to a post in a topic in F33 Bonanza for FSX
Just pulled the Bonanza out of the weeds and was working on these fixes and the edit#2 to fix the heading flag with the new rmi is unclear to me and seems incomplete. Is part of the post missing? I wonder because I also don't see a edit #3.
  14. They are located in the two gps units. Left gps would be nav 1/comm 1 and the right gps would be nav 2/ comm2. Sent from my SCH-I500 using Tapatalk 2
  15. Your the best Bob! Thanks for making a good product superb. And Thanks go to Carendao for the service packs.
