  1. Thanks, I will check it as well before making a purchase, since you have it, can I run the application whilst am in the full screen mode? Im running a single PC for FSX. Can you set the order for taxi ways? like, say I landed on Vatsim, and ground ATC said, gate 14 via taxi way L K NP, can I enter it this way? I sound a bit confusing when trying to explain myself, lol.. Basically the question is, does it only guide to the gate randomly, or can I assign which taxi ways I would like to go by? Appreciate your time.. Thank you for your link, will definitely go through it.. Regarding taxing, I have got a good idea how to navigate through it and do have the charts, but the default airport don't have all the taxi way signs. I have fly tampa Dubai and its amazing, you get the painted taxi way on the taxi way it self and the yellow taxi signs on the side. Also for example, when I fly out of EGKK when its busy, I often get a initial hold at N1 via K N, so neither N taxi way or N1 holding points are marked, although I can see them on the charts, but no taxi way signs, its a bit hard to see with low visibility and night flying. But thanks for your inout and links on the routing!
  2. Thank you thank you thank you!!! EFB is exactly what I needed.. Will get it and give it a try! Thanks a lot mate!
  3. Thanks for the info PHXMD-11, Will look into FSBuild and keep an eye PFPX. Appreciate it ! Thanks Bruce
  4. Hi Everyone, First I do apologise if this has been discussed previously, but I cannot seem to find some direct answers regarding this beautiful aircraft. So please don't bash me! I fly the PMDG 737-800 NGX with FS2Crew sound on Vatsim. I have 3 questions: 1- When taxing from gate to runway or vice versa, I do have the charts, but it gets a bit unclear if you are on the default airport and at night, is there any add on that can help? Apart from buying airport add on, something that could say you enter the taxi ways and it kind of directs you like a GPS or something? What do you guys usually do, only printed charts? 2- Planning.. I have only been properly flying few routes, I tried Sim Routes but it doesn't have all the routes, Is there any tutorials I can find/buy to get more details about routes and waypoints? I like the tutorial 1 that came with PMDG, very clear, EGKK - EHAM. 3- This is pretty random, say you are at FL 230, could you get wind speed up to 98knots? Again I do apologise if the has been discussed before (which am sure it has).. I do appreciate any input. Khaled
  5. Hi Alex. Great stuff coming from FS2Crew. I'm free to help over Skype. If you're interested in an English with Arabic sort of accent. For Middle East side of the world. Am based in Dubai
  6. Simmerhead & firehawk44 Thank you very very very much for your input.. So, I uninstalled FSX with all the add ons, got the SSD and made a fresh new installation of FSX, Saitek Drivers, PMDG 737 NGX and Fly Tampa Dubai Reboot.. I still have to add FS2CREW, EZdok and REX.. Installed the FSX and the add ons on the SSD.. So far its running as smooth as silk.. Will be over clocking the Processor (hopefully to 4.5ghz) and GPU and ganging the RAM tomorrow.. Advice for everyone having issues with FSX quality and Frame Rate to run it on an SSD and make sure you take your time in installing it.. Rule of thumb, install FSX or the Add on, reboot, run it, install next add on, reboot, run FSX etc etc Must reboot between installations otherwise your add ons will be all over the place
  7. Ok thanks Jim. I will read it when I get home. Just a quick one.. Am at te shop now. All I can find is a 120GB SSD from Sandisk with the speed of 6GB/S Is that sufficent or must I look for others Thanks again
  8. Ok thanks for that! So when I reinstall FSX, I make the directory into FSX instead of the default Microsoft Flight Simulator and straight on the SSD not in the Program Files on the other hard drive that is running Windows.. Correct?
  9. simmerhead, Thanks for your input.. Will definitely go through the links you sent. Any suggestions regarding the SSD hard drive to run FSX exclusively? Thanks again
  10. Hi Everyone! I am reposting this as I have posted it in a wrong place earlier.. Please pardon me as am new to forums. I have recently built a PC and then decided to get into the FSX world, got the game and many add ons and got lost in manuals and setup procedures as I sort of did a mistake of adding everything at once.. This might be a long post, but I really need some help here. I will include all my PC setup and am open for suggestions and am willing to re install everything to get it to work properly.. Also willing to re install windows as all these add ons (that I don't need) might have left some files or traces (I am not too into computers, so please bear with me  ) - Problems that am facing: 1- Many buttons are not calibrated properly.. I think I can tweak this on the buttons menu at FSX.. But not too sure if I need to use FSUIPC.. 2- Saitek Panels do not work properly on PMDG 737 NGX, also I have their drivers installed, FUISPC and Spad!! maybe I have too many programs to control them? They just keep on crashing, and my yoke when its centred, its actually pushing the axis to the right! 3- When I use the 737 NGX with EZdok and FS2CREW, the game frame rate drops and becomes very very slow (without REX Essential being active) 4- 5 out of 10 times the game fatal error crash 5- Graphics are horrible even when in the options are set to the max - Questions.. 1- Is it better to format windows and start fresh all over again? 2- Is it better to have a dedicated SSD hard drive for FSX and the add ons while the OS runs on the normal hard drive? 3- Is my PC not that good to run FSX properly? do I need to over-clock anything? 4- What should I do.. Any help would be tremendously appreciated!! 12. Hi there.. First of all, am sorry if I am posting in the wrong topic/forum or if something similar has already been discussed. I have read a lot of topic on various forums about all the different ways of installing FSX and the add on.. I am having a problem with my setup with a lot of frame drops when using specific add ons etc etc. So I am planning to re install SFX and the add ons that I would like to keep, but need guidance on setup (ex, on the default directory or create a new one) etc etc. I am happy to re install my windows if that helps. I will list below my hardware specifications and what add ons i would like to run FSX on and would really appreciate every help on this as I have been looking every where to sort this our for the past 3 months! Also, I have only one hard drive (seagate 1TB) internal, is it better to get an additional SSD for FSX only! Again am sorry for the long post.. New to forums.. But really need some help here!!! :( Appreciate it SETUP HARDWARE: - CHASIS: THERMAL TAKE - MOTHERBOARD: ASUS MAXIMUS V EXTREME - PROCESSOR: INTEL i7 8 CORE 3770K 3.5 Ghz STANDARD CLOCKING - GPU: ATI RADEON XFX HD 7970 BLACK EDITION GDDR5 - RAM: 2 X 8GB CORSAIR VENGEANCE QUADCORE DDR3 - COOLING: H-80 CORSAIR HYDRO SERIES - PSU: AX850 CORSAIR 850W POWER SUPPLY - 3 X 23" LG FULL HD LED IPS - SAITEK PRO FLIGHT YOKE SYSTEM - SAITEK PRO FLIGHT THROTTLE QUADRANT - SAITEK PRO FLIGHT RUDDER PEDALS - SAITEK PRO FLIGHT MULTI PANEL - SAITEK PRO FLIGHT RADIO PANEL - SAITEK PRO FLIGHT SWITCH PANEL - SAITEK PRO FLIGHT BACKLIT INFORMATION PANEL - 3 X SAITEK PRO FLIGHT INSTRUMENT PANEL SOFTWARE: - MICROSOFT WINDOWS 7 ULTIMATE 64 bit - MICROSOFT FLIGHT SIMULATOR X - ACCELERATION EXPANSION - REX ESSENTIAL - PMDG 737 NGX - FS2CREW 737 NGX - EZdok Camera - TrackIR - FSUIPC
