I'm really sorry if this has been covered and if it has, can you point me in the right direction of where it is. If not, has it been established what the differences are updating to the latest service pack for the NGX? I realise I'm a little slow to the party... Can anyone highlight them for me? Dan

If I may ask.... It feels (as a biased consumer of the NGX!) that it's been slightly neglected compared to its bigger brothers and sisters (777 and 747/748) From a technical stand point, the NG has had a lot of changes and updates since it was released - Scimitars Led Landing lights New start levers To name a few. I appreciate that there is a timetable that PMDG must have and they are good at posting updates from time to time with what's happening and SP1d? Was a great addition. But, the NGX I would have thought has a massive consumer base, and some of us geeks really want to get into scimitar equipped NGX or have an updated cockpit window dimension. I don't want to come across as ungrateful/demanding or asking for answers. It's just my 2 pence (2 cents for my American friends!) that the NGX feels a bit neglected. Dan

As soon as I can work out how to post pics via my iPhone, I'll post them. I'm also waiting on a (current) ng pic that documents the start levers changes. To describe them briefly, it looks like a Boeing grey metal plate bolted on to the area where the start levers are and 2 switches similar to the 777 on it. Almost plug and play. First off, I'm not asking for anything, nor am I being ungrateful. If any of the mods/developers are reading, new 737ng's coming off the line now don't have nose wheel lights and retractables. New ones have led wing lights which still use the same switch with the retractables, except, when pushed once, they are only at about 20% brightness (for taxi) then 100% when pushed fully down. Also, the start levers are now 777 style. I can dig out pics if needed.

Awesome. Yes it's on the airport, it's just to the right of runway 34R. Looking at pics from fsx online it looks like it should be a comms mast or something..... At work currently so can't post a pic.

Okay, so for a while I was messing about with the different freeware KSEA sceneries that were about until taxi2gate came along. When I say messing about, porting over my fs9 version and trying to get it to work with orbx. Anyway, ever since, I seem to be missing a texture from KSEA, which now appears as a massive black skyscraper which appears to the right of rwy 34r. I assume it's a radio tower of some sort. So.... How do I re find this texture or can I pull the textures from the fsx disk to manually reinstall it Please help!! Dan

I went through the instructions step by step posted on the main pmdg forum and then re installed. I then had to set up my panel saved state again as ngx short turn and as soon as i did, this happens! I've just checked the ops centre and there is (another?) update.... Is that the fix?

Can someone help? Since downloading the new installer and following all the instructions I'm getting an annoying problem... The FMC now starts on the service/failure page but displays no issues. However once it's fired up and ready to taxi, I cannot extinguish the annunciatior panel as the fuel and anti ice are illuminated. There are no faults on the fmc and all the checklists have been followed. This has only started since I updated the ngx. And I've clean installed it twice now to no avail. It happen on all my liveries.... Dan

I think I've passed the point of no return with the reconfigured screens, I've made so many new cfg's with the plugs different way arounds! I was going to try the nvidia surround, but I need one of the monitors to be used in portrait not landscape due to where they are placed in my mip....

My main monitor (set as primary) is plugged in via a DVI port. The 2 other monitors are plugged into the same card, via 2 display port plugs and everything was working fine. The 2 monitors used for pfd/nd and eicas for my home cockpit. I've just upgraded the home cockpit, plugged everything back in but now the 2 "spare" screens won't work in fsx. Instead of going black and being able to drag the desired screens onto them, they stay in "windows" mode. I'm not using FSX in windowed mode. Everything is set up, in windowed mode, I can drop them in but I've never had to use that mode. What am I missing? Dan

Do you have/are you using ENB series? That seems to make life impossible when trying to multi monitor. Dan

Ah ok thanks. I always assumed the the temp on the engine screen (correct name escapes me) was the OAT. On a side note to that, I have noticed it ASE does differ that figure. For instance, I flew Toronto -Montreal and got a figure of +18 when using ASE in Montreal but with snow! Re loaded for the return flight without ASE and using fsx weather downloaded from the Internet, that figure went to -2 (which was the correct temp given in the real world forecast) ??
