  1. Never found a fix so I just hardcoded this by simulating a "G" keystroke, which switch the gear up/down
  2. Hey guys, I'm currently working on my B738 home made cockpit based on the PMDG 737 NGX I already have a lot of controls working, but i'm currently stuck with the gear. It's frustrating due the lack of documentation but playing a bit with values I managed to make the gear move to the UP position SimConnect_TransmitClientEvent(hSimConnect, 0, EVENT_GEAR_LEVER,-1, SIMCONNECT_GROUP_PRIORITY_HIGHEST, SIMCONNECT_EVENT_FLAG_GROUPID_IS_PRIORITY); and hr = SimConnect_MapClientEventToSimEvent(hSimConnect, EVENT_GEAR_LEVER, "#70087"); That worked, however I'm unable to make the gear to go down, tried almost any value and it only seems to work with -1 and it makes it to go up. In the PMDG_NGX_SDK.h file the MAIN_GearLever variable is commented as // 0: UP 1: OFF 2: DOWN So I tried to directly change its value, didn't work either, I guess it is read-only. Any idea how can achieve this? Thanks in advance.
  3. Thank you all, the problem was my TV which is set as an extension of the main desktop, I turned it off and then the FSX screen popped up in the main monitor. Not sure why this happened now as I never had such problem before.
  4. Better later than never... If you read the comments in the SDK structure it says: So, if there is not present in the SDK you access them via simconnect, there is nothing wrong with that.
  5. If I understand it correctly, it's the status of that system, when the linked control is not being pressed.
  6. ...and there is no way to maximize it tried alt+tab, clicking the icon in the taskbar, "bring to front" from the task manager...nothing works. this happened suddenly after installing Visual Studio 2010. Any other idea? PS: deleting fsx.cfg helps but would like to avoid it Thank you.
  7. According what I have investigated... - You need at least one, or more machines. - You need a software that capture the part of the screen you want in the secondary monitors, tried some demos a freewares, nothing worked properly - If your network bandwidth isn't good enough you will suffer FPS lag. - You are still adding extra load in the main box, since it needs to generate the images that are transmitted over the network, unless you use a program like project magenta which transmit only raw data, they use to cost a lot of money and doesn't work with paywares like the NGX.
  8. You will also face a lot of different problems following that path. I think the only downside with the multi-monitor setup is the performance loss, if you can keep it within the acceptable limits you'll be just fine. I need to make a lot more testing but it seems running the sim in full screen mode fixed it for me. (crossfingers)
  9. Thank you rend, I realized that couple minutes ago. I was told undocked windows wouldn't work with full screen but they do. Thanks!
  10. Some additional info... I'm using FPS unlimited with no external limiter Setting ForceFullScreenVSync to 0 improved FPS a bit but still bad. Vsync at nvidia inspector is set to "force off". Not sure what else I can try.
  11. Hi friends, as title says I'm having problems trying to use a 2nd screen for Instruments Always I move a new undocked window to the 2nd monitor it eats a lot of FPS. IE: No windows: 30 FPS fixed 1 window: 20 FPS 2 windows: 10-12 3 windows: <10 I tried the NGX undocking ND/PFD/EICAS, tried also the Aerosoft A320 making views for those gauges, even with the default 737-800, results are pretty much the same. My system i5 2500K @ 4.5GHz 8GB RAM GTX 760 2GB W7 Professional FSX Acceleration windowed mode Any idea about what can I try? Thanks in advance.
  12. Thanks, I will stay with FSX for now.
  13. Hi, and sorry about that, I don't come here very often, mainly because almost always I try server is "out of resources" I have a high end machine. About if my addons are compatible or not, i think I can care later, first I would like to know if P3D can really give me improvements over FSX.
  14. My question is pretty simple, is worth to buy P3D if I already own FSX? How would it improve my experience? Thanks in advance.
  15. I don't want to hijack this, but I think if someone answer my question would be also contributing the thread. Could someone please list current P3D advantages over FSX SP2 ? Thank you.
  16. Hehe ok thanks for your help. BTW, does anyone know what's the process to create this at software level? I can't even see desktop management options at Nvidia control panel, maybe because I have a single screen right know.
  17. That's correct. My motherboard does not have an IGP. Since there is a DVI-I port I could use it for one VGA and buy just 1 adapter. But then I would have to buy 2 different 23", one DVI + one HDMI or DP. Or I can buy 2 active adapters and use the DP and HDMI for both VGA displays, and then to buy 2 identical 23" (DVI) Unless I can pick a model with both interfaces.
  18. Hi GB, My system specs are i7 2700K 8GB 1600 GTX 760 (2 DVI, 1 HDMI, 1DP) W7 prof 64 - I have 2 VGA monitors already so I would have to buy a conversor to displayport I guess. - Still need to buy the 2 bigger screens. - What I want to do is to undock PFD, ND and EICAS from the NGX and show them in the 2x 19. What do you suggest? Thank you!
  19. I'm clueless on multi-monitor setups so anything will help me.
  20. My plan is 2x 23" screens for main view and 2x19" for instruments My doubts: 1- Do I need a SLI or can just buy a mainstream VGA for the 2x19? (Not sure if both can be active at the same time if not in an array) 2- How much would be the performance loss compared with if I had a single screen plugged on the same main VGA? Thanks in advance.
  21. I found the "window to full screen" fix in the avsim guide, made a couple tests in windowed mode and sim didn't crash. Do you guys run FSX in a window or fullscreen?
  22. Thank you Jim, tried it already, unable to get even close to what ENB provides.
  23. Unfortunately nothing worked. Still looking for a fix, thank you.
  24. Thanks Steve, I will check it. Now my doubt is, how accurate is the information you can get from FSX, compared with real life today. Is all data from the date FSX was released? Is it possible to update it in any way?
