  1. Yeah, it's been pulled. You can still get it from the GFWL Marketplace until Aug 25th though. They extended the shutdown by 3 days. The steam version won't even start-up anymore. They didn't just disable purchasing, they seemed to have shut it down completely on Steam.
  2. Actually there is a thread of people claiming that the Steam version no longer starts up. Have a read: http://steamcommunity.com/app/203850/discussions/2/864976837955469422/ I had bought a second copy of all the DLC a month ago and it is still in steam gift form. I have written support hoping for a refund as it was never redeemed. I can't see how Microsoft can take your money and not let you use the product you paid for; without incredible backlash and potential lawsuits. It doesn't matter if it is stated in the EULA. The game was released internationally and they would have to abide by various countries consumer protection laws. You will probably see some justified circumvention tools if our pleas go unheard. After all, I did pay for it.
  3. If any of you guys missed out, I do have a second copy of Microsoft Flight Complete ($48 or 22 keys) Microsoft Flight: Hawaiian Starter Bundle which includes: (Hawaiian Adventure (All Islands), Maule M-7-260C Deluxe, P-51 Mustang Basic Alaska Wilderness Expansion Carbon Cub Deluxe C-46 Basic Mitsubish A6M2 Zero Basic F4U Basic P-40 Warhawk Basic * keys are items that can be purchased in the Steam Marketplace using your Steam Wallet. Each key is worth approximately $2.18 and is used as virtual currency in the game trade world. It is a safer way to trade if there is a lack of trust. If you are interested in this form, please let me know and I will explain further.
  4. I also thought it was going to be at the park end of Dillingham. No idea I would have to taxi so far to get there. That is a very nostalgic airstrip for me. I used to practice landing there back in the day. Even had a land and picnic once.
  5. Steam does create an uninstall key. MS Flight is App 203850 in Steam. Using that node, you can find the install path. I don't know if this ID is dynamic or static however here is the key below: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Steam App 203850] "DisplayIcon"="C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Steam\\steam\\games\\0aa18fefd05b0550749dd13d316f544ca0ef247f.ico" "DisplayName"="Microsoft Flight" "HelpLink"="http://support.steampowered.com/" "InstallLocation"="C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Steam\\steamapps\\common\\Microsoft Flight" "Publisher"="" "URLInfoAbout"="" "NoRepair"=dword:00000001 "NoModify"=dword:00000001
  6. Hi Orion, Thanks for the fast response and the update. I just checked my registry under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft There is no "Microsoft Flight" node when installed using the Steam version. These registry entries are made with the GFWL Marketplace game installer. Since Steam installs the game differently, these keys are not created. I'll send you the reg file for the Steam version.
  7. This has been a common issue for the past 3 days. There are many threads in the GFWL Support forums about this particular issue. http://forums.xbox.com/gfw/technical_support/default.aspx They are finally aware of the issue and some users have been told they are working on the problem.
  8. Does this only work if you downloaded from the GFWL Marketplace? I downloaded the Steam version of MS Flight and this program shuts down instantly without error or dialog. I suspect it is looking for a particular path to the game which is different if it is installed to a different path. Steam installs the game in a different place than does the GFWL marketplace client. Can you make it so we can drop the application in the same directory as the game? I am also using Win8 x64.
