Unable to Download 3.0.7.8
Hi, I've been attempting to download the latest MCE version on the downloads page, but the link appears to be inactive. Has something changed? When I click the link no download is started. This is the first time I've had this problem. Thanks for the support, Tony J

FO & PF3
Hi Gerald, FYI, PF3 had an update a couple of days ago and now the MCE copilot is not giving the proper frequencies when requested (i.e. ground, tower, clearance delivery). Here is one of the new changes in PF3 ver 3.17.0 that might be applicable to the problem. "CHANGED the location where the PF3_Freqs.dat file is created. This used to be in a folder named PF3_Display which was created inside the main FS folder. However, since the PF3 Display utility no longer requires WideFS when running on a client machine this file is no longer accessed directly. Subsequently, we now create this file in the main PF3\Data folder." Tony J

FO & PF3
RALF9636, No, I have PF3 coming through my headset. I remember reading somewhere awhile back that someone was saying that the FO wasn't dialing in the squawk or altitude. For me he dials in the squawk and altitude, he just does it during the clearance, and sometimes when I'm reading back. I'm going to try re-doing my speech profile from scratch and see if tha has any effect. Thanks for the suggestion. Tony J

FO & PF3
For me, in "I have ATC" mode he does not read back the clearance which is correct, only that during the time that the clearance is being given, the FO reads the altitude and squawk out loud immediately when he sees it in the caption. In effect "stepping on the clearance". This has a tendency to cause me to miss those parts of the clearance , and I have to request the clearance be repeated. I have found that un-checking "Copilot can handle radio if busy" under the ATC tab, cleared the problem of him reading the clearance back in "I have ATC" mode for me. Tony J

FO & PF3
I also have an annoying problem only during receiving clearance where even though I have the radio, the FO will call out the altitude and squawk while the clearance is being read. I don't have a problem with him dialing in the squawk or altitude just that he reads it back at the same time clearance is read, which makes it hard to hear and copy clearance.

If you think you have found something that's not working.........
Hello, After updating to latest version 2.7.48, after requesting flight following, ATC gives a transponder code and requests acknowledgement of the squawk. I am no longer able to get a response from ATC unless I say option 1 to the menu item. Was working prior to update. Any suggestions? Also, is there a way to speed up the response from a script? It appears that it takes the F/O a long time to complete a script even though there are no pauses built into the script. Thanks again for a phenomenal product. Tony

Thanks for the quick response. I appreciate all the effort that goes into this product, I know it's not easy. As far as my system is concerned, I don't have all of the fancy bells and whistle programs that other simmers do, just box level FSX with native ATC. I have all features enabled, with the exception of nagging and some of the miscellaneous features that don't apply to me. What features are you referring to? I totally understand about not having a change log, I assumed as much. Again, the issues that I raised were really only minor in the grand scheme of things, so please don't think I was just picking out little details to make everything perfect for me. This is by far the best addition to FSX for me . Your hard work, and customer service is top notch and greatly appreciated.

If you think you have found something that's not working.........
So I've updated to 2.7.4.2. Happy to say that the refueling issue from my earlier post has been corrected. Thanks for the great work. Also your suggestion to create a new speech profile corrected the climb and decent issue that I was having (also in my previous post). However I'm continuing to have the above problem. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times. I even went as far as to clear the registry of any instance of multi crew experience and started with a fresh install to see if that would help. I'm not sure what else I can do. I've also have created new speech profiles to the point I'm hoarse. My buddy in the above post also informed me that he updated to 2.7.4.2, and that he now has the same problem even though he did not have the problem prior to the update. Another issue I seem to be having is sometimes my virtual copilot (in this case Clive) seems to sometimes rush through reading my checklist. (meaning he does not allow me time to give a respond to an item). Sometimes he skips right over an item and other times he reads it correctly. Is there away to slow down the action/reaction time between checklist items? I know about using the pause when creating flows but that's it. One last thing, you guys do an awesome job correcting issues people have with MCE, but what I don't see is a change log with what's been corrected when an update comes out. I see that it adds support for a new aircraft, but nothing when it comes to issues being fixed. Is this by design? All in all though I love this program. It has brought new life to my FSX experience. A definite keeper addon. Thanks for the help and great support. Tony Jewell

If you think you have found something that's not working.........
Hey Gerald, I'm having another issue with when a statement is in brackets. When at an uncontrolled airfield and I tune to the traffic frequency, I cannot get the menu to advance to the next page when selecting a runway. For example my home airport KVCB 1 - [Tune KVCB Automated Weather on 134.75] 2 - Announce Clear of Runway 3 - [Select a Runway for Takeoff] I speak "Select a runway for takeoff" and the ATC menu advances to the next screen Select a Runway from the List 1 - [Runway 2] 2 - [Runway 20] 3 - [-- Back-- ] Here's the problem. When I say "runway 2 or runway 20" nothing happens. If I say "option 1 or 2" it advances to the next menu. When I say "back" it advances back to the previous menu. I have a buddy that has MCE also and he's not having this problem. I'm assuming it's a problem on my machine. I've installed 2.7.4.0 but the problem continues. Any help is greatly appreciated. Tony

If you think you have found something that's not working.........
Hi, Gerald, Thanks for the response. In regards to the previous post item 1 I have to beg to differ. I just completed a flight to KSFO. I was on tower frequency, once clear of the runway ATC says " Contact Ground on 121.80. Once I dial in 121.80 The ATC Menu opens and shows: Choose an option for San Francisco Ground on 121.800. 1 - Request Taxi to Gates 2 - Request Taxi to Parking 3 - Request Taxi to Fueling 4 - [Taxi for Takeoff Options...] This is an exact representation of the ATC Menu page. I have a screenshot of the menu, but can't find a way to attach it to this message. So when I use PTT and say <"Ground <call sign> request taxi to gates" ATC gives me a gate assignment. If I use PTT and say <"Ground <call sign> request taxi to parking" ATC directs me to GA parking. When I use PTT and say <"Ground <call sign> request taxi to fueling" instead of responding "<call sign> taxi to fueling" MCE selects option 4 which opens the taxi to takeoff options, however if I say option 3, then ATC says "<call sign> taxi to fueling" which then gives me the option to [Turn on Progressive Taxi] which I speak directly into the mic . If I understand correctly anything that are not in brackets has to be requested by using PTT and anything in brackets would be spoken directly into the mic. I guess my chief complaint is I shouldn't have to say option 3. As for I tried every variation under <Task: Request Altitude Change> in the Complete ATC manual pdf, and also tried all of the examples in the <IFR ATC> guide. Maybe 1 out of ten times ATC will respond properly without having to say option 1,2, etc, but I'll try again. When creating a new speech profile is that located under the speech recognition program? or do I build it again through MCE? Sorry for the long post. Again thanks for the support and a great product. (BTW the name is Tony not Toby)

If you think you have found something that's not working.........
Hi, First let me say I've been using this product now for about 3 months now and I have to say I love this product!!!. Brings the immersion in the cockpit to a whole new level. I even find myself cursing at Clive when he gets on me about gear and flap speeds, of course he doesn't tolerate that kind of talk. !!!! . With that said, I do have a couple of minor bugs I'd like to point out. (1.) I fly GA aircraft, primarily the Baron-58. My problem is when I request taxi to the fuel pit, via the ATC menu, I can never get the ground control to recognize the option. I can say for example "option 3" and the request will be carried out, however when I say "Ground (with or without the facility name), (my call sign), request taxi to fuel" it selects the next option which happens to be taxi to takeoff options. Then you have to either taxi to the runway or end up ignoring ATC altogether. (2.) When requesting climbs or descents, again I cannot seem to get ATC to acknowledge the request except by saying option 1,2,3, etc. For example I'm at 9000 ft and I want to climb to 14000 ft. If I say "Center (with or without the facility name), (my call sign), request climb to 14000 ft", I get no response from ATC. I can say option 5 for increase altitude by 5000 ft, and I get a response. I've tried all different combinations of call signs long and short form, facility name combinations etc. (3.) It seems my buddy Clive has a hard time understanding the word "ON". I'll ask for the landing lights to be turned on, and he'll say roger the item is already off, or something to that effect. He'll get it sometimes, but I guess he can be a bit contrary at times. I've tried the tutorials, and learning modules, and different tonal inflections but it seems hit or miss. (4.) When entering some different words in the checklist, it appears that the speech recognition will not recognize some words. For example when saying "PFD" it understands no problem, but if I say "MFD" it will not say it. I can get it to say MFD by spacing out the letters (M F D) but then it sounds very robotic. A few other word that I can't seem to get it to understand are "sweep" as in (sweep radar) and "leaving" as in (leaving the aircraft checklist) (5.) When ATC says "report traffic in sight" and I read back "(call sign) traffic NOT in sight" the ATC menu always selects the traffic IN sight option. I've read all the tutorials and manuals on how to say call signs, commands and facility names, and have a background in aviation and experience talking with ATC. I'm using MCE ver 2.7.34 These are all minor issues, but they do have a tendency to detract from the overall fluidity of the experience. I also have X-Plane 10 and 11, does that require a separate purchase and licence? Again kudos to to you for a very well thought out and invaluable program. Tony J
