I think I fixed it. I found that I had two versions of MilkyWay_lm in two different locations. I deleted the one version completely that as in wrong location and the other version I downloaded the file https://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?DLID=187749&CatID=fsxmisc&Cookie=1 and copied it into the Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Scenery\Global\Texture after removing other version and then renamed the file to MilkyWay_lm . For extra measure I downloaded autostrx and used those stars. I went to a know location in Russia where I had it show up before and it was gone I went from sunset to dusk nothing. I hope this helps

I am running FSX acceleration on a i7-6700 cpu @3.40ghz 32.0 gb memory. windows 8.1. I installed the lowest options I could due to bad experience with NYC. I am flying Carenado EMB505 Phenom 300 with gtn, no weather and I just flew through smoke from a burning fire heading towards KDCA. I also just cut and pasted the washington X directory to another drive and it seemed to work. the frame are locked at 20 http://fsfiles.org/flightsimshotsv2/image/GOHh

does FSX real weather updates still work?

Vancouver no more…… By francois On August 20, 2016· Although we didn’t sell many anymore over these past 2 years, there is still a market. But alas, Jon Patch’ heirs have ordered us to take Vancouver off-line and stop selling it. We have now taken it out of our shop and made other distributors withdraw it as well.
