  1. That wasn't my genius unfortunately. Please see post #18 here: http://www.avsim.com/topic/498512-flying-rxp-gtn-in-xp11-beta/page-2 All credit for the integration belongs to bluebell.
  2. Very nice. This kind of scenery is what they got their reputation from.
  3. KSEA at ZL17 with max autogen overlay and HD OSM
  4. They may have a viable reason for this particular business decision but still I get the feeling that they are pushing their luck a bit too much. I remember their categoric no to making scenery for X-Plane over the years. Sounds a little silly nowadays. Just an example how quickly things move and how you can get caught by your own wrong assessments.
  5. Good question indeed. This is XP11 beta with photo scenery and osm overlay, both freeware (unless you count the hard disk space you need for the scenery) and XEnviro as weather and environment engine (a bit pricey and still in beta but worth the investment).
  6. I think you mean the back-lit glow? I believe it is the new XP11 depiction of the sun shining into the airplane when the sun is behind the aircraft. I also think that it is overdone but maybe we get a correction during the next beta runs.
  7. Results: You mean the original FlyWithLua Scripts? You can move all of the default ones into the Scripts(disabled) folder. Just keep the ones you are using in the Scripts folder.
  8. I have a lua script with two entries: set ("sim/private/controls/dome/kill_glares", 1.0) set ("sim/private/controls/fog/std_deviation_cutoff", 0.0) The first entry kills the banding, not needed if you only use XEnviro because it takes care of that. The other is the fog fix, supposedly only needed at dusk (and maybe dawn?). I'll keep it for the moment. You can copy both (or one) line into a text file and save as whateveryoulikeit.lua. Then paste this file into the /ressources/plugins/FlyWithLua/Scripts folder. Let me know if it works.
  9. You can also put the fog fix in a lua script and it will load automatically with the sim.
  10. Good news, appreciate your work. A single 750 only option would also be nice for people who don't own both units.
  11. That's kind, thank you. I have no experience with VC design in X-Plane. I only experimented with some mods in Prepar3D, mostly with the good stuff there which is made by talented people like Bert Pieke. I understand that the instruments are always sort of "baked" in and thus cannot be easily exchanged. I don't mind beta, otherwise I wouldn't try it all out. Hopefully, integration of the GTN continues rapidly for many other aircraft, guess it would also enhance sales of the gauge,
  12. Nobody? Ok, it's Sunday so maybe everyone is out. Nevertheless, a bit disappointing that this smart tool, which is also rather expensive, is lacking some sort of documentation how to make the most out of it. A pop-up is just not the same as a VC integration
  13. I redid Bavaria with 0.9.9 and this time I got a perfectly working file. Thanks for that. As always, I have another question: Is there a way to light up the OSM high rises at night? I think the scenery would look better at night if there was more light from the 3D buildings. I saw a facades for 3D objects function in the config file but not sure what it does. I am getting closer to what looks like a perfect scenery for me, so any further ideas and help are highly appreciated.
  14. Heaven's sake, how did you get the 750 in the VC panel? Please share the ini settings. Thank you.
  15. A short impression from Florida. Don't check the rpm :-) Watch in 4K.
  16. Does anyone who owns PF3 try it yet with XP11? I understand that you must buy a connector piece of software (~25 bucks) to make it work but for this connector there is no trial. I haven't bought PF3 yet and would like to hear from someone who has actively used it with at least XP10 before investing into both. Thanks for any heads up.
  17. Currently here at my home base: And the corresponding webcam shot, to be fair they get this quite right.
  18. But by doing so you only get the default XP autogen, right?
  19. Someone posted this today on Facebook. Not bad I think, just a little under-saturated in total.
