[05MAR15] PMDG 737NGX Versions for FSX/FSX-SE & P3D Released
Can we expect to have the Datalink feature in the future like the B777 ?
-
So fps higher or lower in P3D?
In P3D I have lower FPS, but more stable, I mean FPS are constantly between 27-28 FPS, there is less dispersion, not like FSX where i can get 20- 32 FPS

B777 very low pitch rate
it was after Ap disconnection, but i've installed the 300ER and it seems more responsive than the 200LR

B777 very low pitch rate
guys : My aircraft was in trim ( stable at 1000 feets RA) TRS on Vapp. My sensitivy is set so 10 % deflection on my yoke = 10 % deflection on b777's yoke

B777 very low pitch rate
Hi guys. On my opinion, I think that the pitchrate is too slow : I have the saitek yoke proflight yoke with the axis assigned in FSUIPC with -16383/0/+16383 and 0 in slope and I have the b777's yoke has the same deflection as my Saitek. I really need to make so big input in order to make pitch attitude correction. but when watching video on youthe , pilots only make little correction and the plane responds well. I'll provide a video tommorow, will be easier to understand what i mean. CMB

You mean p3Dv2 right ?

No copilot
Ehhh, Didn't know about that, I opened windows speech recognition
-
No copilot
Hi I did all the thing required for the speech recognition stated in the manual but after loading p3D2.4, when I say for example Before start Procedure, nothing happens it is like there is no co pilot at all. So this is what I did : * set to 8.0 ........US * train your computer to better understand you * set the FS2Crew voice control in the Aerosoft configurator * disable UAC * start speech recognition after loading p3DV2 then I launch the main panel. at this point everything works fine, but when I start to talk, nothing happens. I use a corsair headset with an integrated sound car (USB). CMB Well Did another try and it seems to work, don't know what I did wrong earlier

T7 pitching to rapidly after changing the trim reference speed ? ? ?
the thing I'm wondering, is that : Is it normal that after setting a new TRS, the plane will pitch agressively ?
-
the blip trim is annoying
Ok thanks. Please tell me if you agree with this as you've been on a LEVEL D T777 Sim : http://forum.avsim.net/topic/450359-t7-pitching-to-rapidly-after-changing-the-trim-reference-speed/

T7 pitching to rapidly after changing the trim reference speed ? ? ?
Hi all After watching this video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K9MRlFFXPL8&list=UU8_bi6SOITpwzhcZ_DdXzAQ you can see that during rotation and acceleration alttitude, the Captain didn't trim at all, I think only once,( using the blip trim function, I reckon). but at acceleration altitude, we can see him pressing gently the nose DN trim switch, but what shock me is that we can see that the pitch response is Very Smooth, with the current version, even if you change the TRS by +- 8-10 kts, the plane will pitch up/Down quite severly, thus lots of pressure required to try maintaing the flight path. acceleration starts at : 3:45 Am I the only one having that feeling ?? regards CMB

FSUPICS AP Discon
Hi all, I've set my axis through fsuipc calibration. i've been able to set the trim up/dn through the button +swithes menu. I've set the Ap off function to my joystick button but when i press it the Ap doesn't go off, what's the fsuipc name for Ap disconnection/At off / TOGA ? thanks CMB?

the blip trim is annoying
Sorry I meant double I'm not blamming PMDG, but the way the blip trim enters in action, because it seems that you can trim 10 kts by ten kts, because if less, the blip trim enters in action, changing suddenly the attitude

the blip trim is annoying
Hi, I found that it's quite hard to trim the T7 because of the blip trim trigger : * at initial climb after flaps retraction, target speed is 250 KIAS, so i often add +5 tks to the trim speed reference(TSR), but as the speed is increasing and is within 5kts of the TSR, each time I trim, the blip trim enters into action , so the the pitch attitude suddently goes up, then i increase the TSR and re increase that the blip trim tale over ...... I don't know how the pilots deals with this in real life, but for me it will be more easy and intuitive to like doudle tap quicky the trim swithces if the PF wants the blip trim to enter in action. of course lets say the speed is 200 kts and i want 250, i can gradually set 210, 220, then 230...... but i found that even a 10 kts difference is too much as the plane will pitch up severly, thus needing lots of deflection to maintain level for example. Hope to hear some suggesitons regards CMB

how to hand fly with C*U law aircraft
@ 777simmer How do you trim when changing speed : let's say you want to reduce 210 kts to 180kts while flying level, will you , : * 1 press the trim button for 3 sec ( trim reference speed is now set to 180kts ) * 2 press gradually the trim buttton until you get 180 sec. because if i do 1, the plane will severly pitch up to reach the new trim reference speed, so I need to give lots of forward input to maintain the A/C level with 2 it's hard because the blip trim enters in action each time so the trim reference speed barely moves and as the plane is decelerating, the A/C pitch down severly so i have to keep back pressure. I found it to be more difficult to trim regarding with the NGX. With the NGX when decelerating to 180ktsd from 210 kts, i just often tap the trim switch and I barely give input with the yoke to maintain level path.... CMB EDIT : By switching off the primary Flight Control ( PFC) thus in direct law, i found that trimming is easier jsut like the NGX What a coincidence, I have the same one If you find a setting that works realistically please share with me

Help me setting the AXIS sensibility in FSX / FSUIPC with thrustmaster hotas Tflight X
hi all I'm having an issue setting the sensitivity of my axis for the PMDG B777 I have a very sensible joystick : thrustmaster hotas Tflight X i've set to fsuipc calibration, nulzone for elevator is something like -4000/4000 non linear set to + 15 ( trying to reduce to senstivity of the aircraft). Default sullzone in the CDU even with these setting it's too sensible : for example with the elevator : when i move the yoke and then holding the deflection, in fsx the yoke is still deflecting, so if i give 1/5 back pressure, i think i will have 1/5 backpressure in the PMDG, but looks like there is a delay because when I stop deflecting, it is still deflecting in FSX. Quite the same thing with yoke but for bank, I barely give 10° deflection with my stick, but in FSX it's like the yoke has turned + 30° Any Idea ?

how to hand fly with C*U law aircraft
yeah, thanks Kyle for your explanation What I meant is that even if at the end , trimming the B777 is like trimming a B737, while trimming it won't behave the same : for example, lets assume that we are flying level at 210 kts and I want to reduce it to 180 kts while still flying level : (AT ON) with the NGX : i will just gently trim up as long as speed is decreasing in order to maintain V/S =0, so with the NGX it's easy to maintain LEVEL Flight in speed change without giving any input on the yoke With the PMDG B777, it's a different story again i will gently trim up, but because of the blid trim, the trim will go back to the current aircraft airspeed, so i have you trim more severly in order to avoid the blid trim to go into action, but the speed is not decreasing fast enough I will have to give input ( forward input as the trim speed reference will pitch up to target the trimmed speed, as I want to maintain level, need to push the yoke ). So i'm having a hardtime controlling FLIGHT PATH in speed changes. i don't how the blip trim enters into action in the real b777, but with PMDG, when your TRS is within 5 kts of your curent airpseed when you press the trim button, the blip trim enters into action, it will be better for example to give 2 trim tap within 300 ms to make the blip trim enters into action. hope now you understand what i mean

how to hand fly with C*U law aircraft
Nice explanation Rob, i initally thouht that yoi trim to release force but for maintainning the desired Flight path too, but I learnt that you maintain flight path by adding more or less thrust for a given speed. the thing I don't understand, is why boeing didn't implement a standard trim system lijke a cessna/B737, when you trim you only move the THS ( not the elevator), because the trim reference speed is not convenient I think but that's my opinion.

I have the same issue V/S seems decreasing even in trim. My nullzone in FSUIPC is -3500 / 3500 is that not enough ? Defaut null zone in the MCDU
