  1. Tried to get some of these addons from Flightsim.to last night and had repeated errors in the download and script errors that wouldn't allow the download to even start. Only seemed to be with these items and not others on the site. Check the comments on the site and I think you'll see many of the same comments. Hope they get straightened out, so we can add to our collection.
  2. As the mod count continues to grow, I have found the Addon Linker is fantastic. Author is continually communicating with folks making requests and has been prolific in updating his software. I created separate directories for each state (United States here...) and it makes turning on just what is needed for a given flight extremely simple. I have left the few payware addons intact in the Community folder, but everthing else is a managed link. Can't speak highly enough about the Addon Linker program!

Manny and others, I finally got the email late last night and did purchase it, but this emailing previous owners (and delayed and slowly at that....)for discounts on the MSFS versions is the most antiquated method of getting this done I can imagine. We need to get FSDT like every other developer who offers these rebates for purchases made directly from them in the past to simply utilize the login and purchase record at the time of transaction. I made this statement yesterday on their forum. Don't know what you would do if you had changed email or internet providers (email suffix) since your P3D/FSX purchase. I think the email rebate system they have is just dumb. I'm ready to buy, but oh wait, and wait, and wait.....

I purchased the P3d/FSX version back in 2017 from FSDT directly (have the transaction ID, serial# etc.) Received an email today about the MSFS version that seemed to indicate that the discount would be applied directly on the site where the purchase was made. It still just indicates the full price. Am I missing something. Would definitely like to add this into MSFS, as I own nearly all of FSDT's north american products for P3D.
  5. In that situation, I would just SLEW the aircraft to a new position. Wouldn't have thought to go clear back to the home menu.... SLEW is great for rotating the plane in narrow confines as well. Ground navigation is a big part of aviation, but sure see a lot a planes "appear at the entry to the runway". I like the traffic, but still getting used to lots of folks cutting corners...

  7. I think that would accomplish what I'm looking for. I believe you just taught me something.. I wasn't aware that I could randomly rename the addon directory without modifying any of the files inside. If that is the case, then the renaming to suit a naming convention of the mlink could certainly be done by the user at the time of addon download and placing in the holding directory. The main purpose I see for a tool like this besides creating the mlink ( I have a increasingly growing BAT file that makes the creation, and then I REM out files that have been created) is to have the ability to activate / deactivate by group (for me, probably the state(s) I'll be flying). Sounds like you have most of that functionality, my earlier point was to control the on/off by the mlink, but I guess it could work either way, as long as naming control and organization can be addressed by the user. To your example above, probably would name OHairport-.... so that all items (cities, scenery, etc) with OH prefix could be activated at once... I don't know how your search query works though. thanks again for your work
  8. As the volume of addons grows steadily, I went to a mlink approach pretty early. The one advantage, that I don't think you've taken advantage of yet is the ability to organize/simplify the name of the mlink itself that is refrencing the addon that is often named with: the maker-the name of the maker's cat-airport-version #, etc. etc. Ideally by keeping the mlink file's name consistent example: airportOH-Kxxx for airport Kxxx in Ohio, would allow for the second part of my request. The ability to active/ inactive by groups or search field of the MLINKS NOT THE ADDONS. This takes all the crazy naming that authors employ in the addons out of the equation, and lets the user control their naming of the mlink itself. This will eventually allow us not to have everything load (much like the addon editor for P3D) and to organize by type of addon, state, country , etc... to turn on only what is needed for a given flight. Keep up the great work
  9. Are you physically setting the altitude in navlog screen after choosing low altitude airways. The sim will set its own value if you don't and that is what ATC will ultimately direct you to. Example, by default if I don't change it, high altitude airway flights seem to always default to FL390 unless I set it to something else before hitting the FLY button.
  10. Not that I have seen, but if you run the checklist, it's pretty early in the sequence and should be aligned by the time your inputting or modifying flightplan, init, and performance parameters....
  11. May check your soundcard / sound settings. Mine occasionally switches to 5.1 from stereo and exhibits that same behavior. I initially used to have Azure issues and would use the offline ATC/ Voices, but that hasn't seemed to have been an issue lately.
  12. Had the PFD freeze up today on an IFR flight from KCMH (Columbus) to KBWG (Bowling Green, KY) @ 16,000 ft about 2/3rds of the way enroute. The backup instruments still functioned as well as the autopilot, and the PFD came back to life when entering the APPR. First time I've experienced that in the TBM.
  13. You click on the blue button (sorry the name escapes me...its like navlog or waypoints....anyway) to the right hand side of the map screen. From there you can override the preset flight height. Its a bit touchy, I usually have to click on the verical path diagram to the left of where you set the altitude for the new height to take. By your question alone, I can say that this is not an ideal location for it, and setting the altitude should be on the main map screen, where you set everything else. Hope this helps. Brian
  14. I flew from KMEM to KBNS (memphis to nashville) IFR with ILS 20L approach in the A320 last night. I use the A320nx mod (post update) and the aircraft is very well behaved. I second Shawn's statements on being setup based on weight and CG. It sounds (no pun intended) like you have some hardware / driver / network issues going, but I think with a little guidance on the operation of the airbus (there's plenty on the web) and the A320nx mod in the community folder, you'll find that the aircraft isn't the primary source of your bad flight experience. I own the P3D Aerosoft A320, and much prefer the MSFS with mod plane, and it only gets better thanks to the great Fly by Wire team.
  15. Don't know if this is related, but the A320 is having a similar issue with the PFD, AP console, and Center console losing lighting (PFD goes dark). This happens a few times a flight and is not when any key stroke action is being done (during cruise for instance...) I'm using the current A32x (fantastic by the way) with the left engine temporary fix, but this item still happens. Haven't flown much GA since the patch, but it truly could be across all aircraft. CH yoke, Logitech rudders. This has only begun to happen (along with the left engine issue) since the patch.
  16. Pretty close in performance and beats no data input. The aircraft is usually way over fueled, and way under in weight when no adjustments are made. Better than nothing currently....
  17. Although I've uninstalled P3Dv4.5, I still use the Aerosoft a320 Fuel Calculator, it works great for getting the Block, Weights, and CGs. I then input that info either when selecting the plane, or requesting fuel.
  18. Does it work because none of the "same files" are being manipulated?.... IE: the aircraft.cfg is only being altered by one of the mods....

It just occurred to me that the other night, I flew the A320 with the A32NX cockpit instrument mods (stored in Community) in an aircraft with the JetBlue livery (also in community under a separate liveries-a320 mod also stored in community) Doesn't that fly (no pun intended) in the face of the downside of option 3 that you stated? Two different mods on a single aircraft type... Just a thought
  20. If you are in the United States, Airnav is a great resource, free online. Put in the airport and it has all the ILS plates and airport diagrams, etc.
  21. Just had an absolutely wonderful full planned IFR flight from KLAS to KPHX including departure and arrival along with ILS landing. The A320's AP didn't miss a beat. I flew the Aerosoft Bus in P3D, and actually used the fuel planner and checklist from it in this planes planning and flight. Miss some of the detail of the switches, but all the major items are included and worked well. Still the slightest of side to side sway at cruise, but nothing like the Alpha / Beta where I like many routinely stated that the plane's AP was trying to kill me. I'm on a relatively low level machine = 4820 i7, 16 gb ram, 1080 ti, and performance was smooth, with a bit of frame loss on KPHX approach, but still manageable. Just want to say how this is only going to get better with each update. A big thanks to Asobo/MS for all they've done and will do, and looking forward to 3PD birds from FSL and PMDG.
  22. Tim, by up and down, not sure what you are refering to... I use the hat to for looking around.... example POV DN = cockpit look down (lock) by elevation are you refering to "slewing"? I typically assign the elevation up & down to keyboard up = Q dn = Z and use the yoke for forward / back and yaw left / right. Sorry if this is not what your were refering to. Once I'm up and running, I can give you exact assignments.... Brian
  23. SidekickUBT: I have a CH Yoke and it worked perfectly in the Alpha / Beta. First make sure in the Windows Game Controller calibration in Windows Settings that it is properly functioning. In MFS, assign the throttle axis to Axis L-Z. Make sure you clear anything else assigned for the throttle and only assign the throttle axis, not the other throttle commands like increase, full cut, etc. I'm awaiting my download time so I am writing from memory at the moment. Also realize that certain aircraft may depend on a different setup (multi engine aircraft...) start with the 152. Make it work on that first.
  24. I'm aware of the popup map, but there are no taxiway designations on that map. I think that is the perfect place to show them, particularly as we head into VR.... hence my option B. As some on here think that asking for these type of things are a "meltdown", I'd be interested to hear their feedback after a week or two post the 18th when they can't move around a busy airport on the ground. As they are now, they look great, but have absolutely no functional purpose for the pilot that would prefer not to follow giant neon blue arrows.
  25. Taxiway signs are kinda important to flight..... My issue is simply if you're going to supply them than A) make them correct as they were in FSX, P3D etc, or B) supply us some means via map to navigate the procedurally assigned ones. Absent those one of those two, good luck getting to your runway, or your assigned parking spot on the return.....
