  1. Beautiful. Well it looks like I'm going to be getting my butt kicked all summer, starting next week! In his defense I read his comment differently (as in: wishing for a conversion of your 777 to XP, with the same level of detail and animation as in your FSX version).
  2. Yeah, sorry for the hijack - it just sort of went down the 3rd party route! X-plane provides the weather right out the box, but the depiction of said weather is half the battle, especially in GA as Superdelphinus stated. Really looking forward to seeing what PMDG have been working on and hearing what their plans are, just over half way through the estimated 60 days since the announcement - I know we're not expecting a study aircraft as their x-plane debut but expectations are pretty high.
  3. I've been lucky enough to help out the Sundog Software guys beta test the next version of their SkyMAXX v2 for X-Plane. It uses X-plane's own live weather from the net and renders it beautifully - multiple cloud layers, overcast layers, high stratus, towering cumulus and storms, reflections, shadows, lens flare and god rays. Winds aloft data is usually set in X-Plane by the FMC plugins themselves for instance in the 757 I believe, the only thing that Active Sky NEXT does above and beyond this is historical weather I think.
