  1. It starting to sound like some type of bug . Ill reinstall the plane and see if that works. Avery Hammerman
  2. Well once again same problem... flying American airlines EGLL-KJFK and I caught the localized, went to hit approach hold and the same thing happened. I figured maybe I was too far out so I waited until I got closer and continuously tried it. Still nothing. I disengaged autopilot and then landed the plane. Nothing special. After I began to taxi to the gate I realized that the landing checklist hadn't been filled out. Could that have been the issue? I had an 8 knot headwind almost directly on my nose. I read through much of the FCOM sections and the only thing I can think of us that I didn't fill in the checklist. Please Help! Avery Hammerman
  3. That seems like a good idea. I'll take a look at those sections and hopefully get an answer. Avery Hammerman
  4. I felt that I was well within the limits of catching the glidescope from former experience in the NGX and as I got closer and closer to the runway I continued to try the approach hold button... Are there any other procedures in the FCOM to look at because I'm pretty sure I'm doing it all correctly. Avery Hammerman
  5. PMDG has a ton on there hands right now and I wouldn't expect an MD-80 in the near future... But it could happen eventually. If you collect some info on md-80's and maybe even get access to one (if you have those type of connections) then you might have better luck catching one of the higher-ups eyes. Best of luck to you, I would certainly enjoy that aircraft too. Avery Hammerman
  6. Alright so imagine this. I'm coming in for an ILS approach and an autoland at Toronto (CYYZ) I'm landing runway 24 and I have the ILS frequency correct. I am nearing the dotted line for the runway intercept course and I hit the LOC button on autopilot. It goes green and then the PFD say LOC in green with a box around it. So naturally I go to hit the approach hold button except it only clicks down and does not show a green light. The altitude does not begin to change and I have to disengage autopilot and do the landing by hand once again. This is the second time this has happened. The first time was on an approach into Dubai. What am I doing wrong? (the wind was 21 kts at my 10 o'clock) Avery Hammerman
  7. Alright that make a heck of a lot more sense the what the FCOM had to say... The only thing I was getting wrong was the compressions from 4100N and 16000W to 41N60 if that's correct, obviously when plotting the courses ill have the FCOM examples out until I remember them but that helped a ton thanks Trent. Avery Hammerman
  8. Okay well thanks for the help I really appreciate it. Avery Hammerman
  9. So inserting the coordinates in the FMC is just as easy as a fix except you have to compress the coordinate basically? Avery Hammerman
  10. Hi, when flying the PMDG 777 when I want to fly a great circle route (ex:EGLL-KJFK) I get coordinates like 4100N and 16000W and i was wondering how you input these into the FMC? If so how because they don't seem to go into the route... Thanks guys Avery Hammerman
  11. I'm actually using Rex Essential Plus weather but I'm sure its a similar problem. Avery Hammerman
  12. I'm sure that was the problem Richard, when landing in Melbourne yesterday I did have a very strong crosswind... Today I landed in KLAX and the autoland system seemed to work fine. We'll see if it continues on that trek Thanks guys Avery Hammerman
  13. I have no failures and yes the ILS is in both the PFD and ND's. The adiru should be fine after I've already done about 5 flights. Land 3 is definitely displayed. The only thing I can think of is the landing config because I remember this most recent landing in Melbourne from Auckland that the speed randomly dropped and then shot back up (kinda glitchyish) then it displayed the message. I'm doing another flight tonight and ill try an ILS landing once again. If it doesn't work ill screenshot it... Thanks, ill give you some more info about it tomorrow Avery Hammerman
  14. I have been flying my PMDG 777 lately and when I go to autoland the plane, the autolamd will work until I hit about 500-300 feet and the PFD will display "NO AUTOLAND" in yellow and then I have to take the plane and land it myself. The only time auto land has worked was when I flew KPAE to KSEA as a test flight in the 777-200F and I haven't achieved one any other time. Any suggestions/tips? Thanks, Avery Hammerman
  15. I find it easier to just use the operations center anyways but Dan answered your question pretty well. Avery Hammerman
  16. I would recommend a reinstallation and possibly to re download the plane off the internet. I'd also advise defragging your system, there could be some corrupted files. If none of that works delete your fsx.cfg flie which is located under c:\users\yourname\appdata\roaming\Microsoft\FSX its not the text document its just the other one. Hope this helps unless you've solved it already! Avery Hammerman
  17. Thanks Jeremy that is a great place to find them, definitely going to be using those website in the future. Those are some great routes Hank, I appreciate it both of you. Avery Hammerman
  18. Hi everyone, I've been flying my PMDG 777 (200 and 300) a lot lately and have been wanting to learn the airplane more and more. Does anyone know of some good below 7 hour flights that a triple seven would fly in real life? I'd appreciate the ICAO codes, gate to gate time and airline(s) that fly the route for answers. Thanks, ahammerman ^ Avery Hammerman ^
  19. Thanks for all the info guys. And yes I'm looking to help PMDG more then anything. I'm sure you'll be seeing me more often now. ahammerman
  20. Thanks i appreciate it! Now one more question. Do you know what planes PMDG is currently working on?
  21. Its actually just a button or switch in the cockpit that is to tell the flight attendants to take their seats. The seatbelt sign chime also can be turned on, off or put on auto in most planes.
  22. Hi guys, I have bought a few of your products and am very happy with them... But id like to know hoe you get to be on the beta team. I have many connections to the Boeing Everett factory and would like to help out with future designs and such. Thanks, ahammerman
  23. Where and when will these liveries be coming out? I cant find any on the PMDG website... Do they come with the plane when you buy it? Where and when will these liveries be coming out? I cant find any on the PMDG website... Do they come with the plane when you buy it?
