I reinstalled my P3D and it is still crashing if AS is enabled.
-
Documents\Prepar3D v5 Add-ons\ActiveSkyP5\Add-on.xml
-
Same here. If I disable AS by renaming add-on.xml file, P3D starts without problems. If I enable the AS it always crashes on startup.
-
Is it P3D or AS that crashes?
-
It looks like Active Sky is now working for me but P3D crashes on startup if AS is installed.
-
I tried to enter the old license key for v4 version and I think it accepted it because I got an e-mail with "device verification code". But it closes everytime I press P3D v5 button. My P3D v5 also crashes at startup if I have Active Sky enabled as an addon.

My Active Sky doesn't load when I press P3D v5. Is there anyone else having the same problem?
-
I reinstalled it and this showed up. I have already made an account but I don't know which license key to enter? Where can I find this "new" license key?

My P3D v5 crashes if Active Sky is installed.

Hurray!!! 😄 I won't be able to sleep now!

Try to search your e-mail inbox for Active Sky order informations.

It has fixes for the bugs that were in the original version.

I had the same problem with Aerosoft CRJ (I had 15FPS on ULTRA and LOW settings) and the only thing that fixed it was a full Windows 10 reinstall. It worked for a month and then I got the same problem. V5 runs perfectly fine!

I have just solved it. I removed secure.prepar3d.com line from hosts file in Windows folder. I don't know why was it there?

Hello! I decided to buy P3D v5 but I can't add it to my Shopping Cart. This is what happens when I add it: ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED It works on my phone but I want to buy it using my PC. I don't know what is the problem - my PC or P3D website.

I have just woke up and this topic made my day!!!
-
I think that the only place to find it are the aerodrome charts (SID/STAR pages). It can also be found in ATIS because it can be sometimes changed. Sometimes it says TA: By ATC in the charts. That means that ATC will tell you the altitude.

I am not a pilot yet and I have very little real life experiences with the real CRJ and all I know about FADEC is that CRJ700/900/1000 indeed have a FADEC but CRJ100/200 do not have it. CRJ100/200 has only three positions - SHUT OFF, IDLE and MAX POWER.
-
You need some time to get used to CRJ and after some flights you get the autothrottle - your hand 😄 You stop thinking about throttle after some flight because it becomes subconscious. I was flying the Aerosoft CRJ constantly for more than a year. Funny thing after flying the CRJ is that you always think that you "forgot something" when you fly jets like 737, A320...
-
Aerosoft CRJ is my favorite aircraft. It feels so good when you perfectly fly it from A to B and you realize that you were actually doing something the whole flight. It is also a very good aircraft to learn the AP modes and how they work. It helps you understand the modes of the autopilots that are automatically managed (AP of 737 or A320).

I wake up every morning and hoping to see a topic on Avsim that says "Active Sky for v5 Beta is released ..." 😄

1. You set reversers to OFF after takeoff (you set it to ARM before takeoff and before landing) to prevent accidentally engaging them mid-air. 2. I don't have much experience with real CRJ because I am a flight student and I have only been programming the FMS on the real one and making an engine test so I can't answer the second question. I haven't flown it yet.

You are right, haven't started the night rating yet. But daylight lightning looks fantastic!
-
I think that P3D v5 lightning looks the most realistic (even better than XP11) from a flight student perspective.
