60Hz HDMI 2.0 and my Sony 4K monitor and 970 GTX ... impressed!
pilot_rob replied to a post in a topic in Video Hardware: Monitors | Multi-Monitors | Video Cards | Drivers etcHi Rob, Very interesting regarding the above. I've been following your various builds recently, as I'll be making a new p3d rig soon. I was thinking of a 3 monitor setup, but this seems a step up. How far from it do you sit would be my only concern I think? Thanks, and keep up the good work. Rob

Aerosoft Airbus black screens
Hi, This may sound really stupid, but have you made sure the 'brightness dial' is turned up / on on these screens? Basic, but sometimes these things are missed. Rob

2 or 4 modules of RAM
Hi All, This may be a stupid question, but is there any difference between having 4x4GB or 2x8GB modules of RAM? Thanks in advance.

Thinking of upgrading and found this bundle
Hi All, Having posted already about upgrading my graphics card to the GTX980, it was suggested that I may be better off sorting my CPU upgrade 1st (spec currently in signature). I found the following bundle on amazon, and wanted your thoughts on it. Will it last for a few years to come? INTEL Core i7 4790K 4.0Ghz, ASUS ROG Maximus VII Ranger Motherboard & 16GB 1600Mhz DDR3 Crucial Ballistix Sport RAM Bundle. Or is there a better combination? Regards, Rob.

Another GTX480 or 1 GTX970/80
Hi all, I'm going to be setting up a 3 monitor display for P3D, and wondered what peoples thoughts are on either adding an extra GTX480 card to the existing one, or just replacing for a GTX970/80. Is there a performance benefit having 1x 9 series compared to 2x480s? Also, any other parts of my system you think should be upgraded (see set-up in signature) Any thoughts welcome to a relative beginner. Cheers, Rob.

Hello! Advice needed from a relative beginner
Hi all, I have recently decided to get back into flight simming having not flown for around 5 years. I was working my way through the FSX tutorials back then, but having read up on P3D decided to go down that route for the long term. Any advice on learning to fly? Should I go back through FSX tutorials, or is there a better way? Any advice welcome, thanks in advance. Rob.
