  1. I have one 4k monitor that I sim on, windowed mode, and another reg hd monitor for ASN, EFB, etc.
  2. Hello again all. As the topic says, I have been running FSX SE in 3840x2160 mode, and have been more than pleased with the results. However, after the recent update to FSX SE, I am not getting the same crisp, sharp images that I was before. Below are the display lines from my fsx.cfg file. [DISPLAY.Device.NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970.0] Mode=3840x2160x32 [DISPLAY.Device.NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970.0.0] Anisotropic=1 AntiAlias=1 Mode=3840x2160x32 TriLinear=0 [DISPLAY.Device.NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970.1] Mode=3840x2160x32 As you can see, it is set to 4K. Prior to the update, all menu's and such were obviously in 4K as they were miniscule and hard to read. But the sim was breathtaking. Now, its almost as if something is forcing it into 1920x1080. I try to change the settings both in the cfg file, and the in game menu, but there is no change. Is anyone else experiencing this? Or perhaps have any idea as to what might be causing it? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
  3. Quick question for everyone out here. I frequently check the forum on the go with my iphone 6. It normally starts in the mobile friendly layout, and I switch it to the full view. But every time I come back too the forums, it has reverted back to the mobile view. Is there anyway I can set it up to always use the full view?
  4. Hello again everyone. As I posted in the topic I will link below, I am looking for a talented painter to do a repaint of a HS850XP that is based at the FBO where I work. The paint job is unique, and I think it would appeal to a lot of people. If you are interested, please shoot me a message. Like I said in the post, I can provide any detail photos of the real aircraft as I see it on almost a daily basis. Here is the link to the original topic. http://forum.avsim.net/topic/467162-looking-for-repaint-of-hawker/ Here is a link to a pic of the aircraft. http://s1056.photobucket.com/user/Mbernard76/media/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zps19gnz9p4.jpg.html
  5. Just curious if the lift dump position on the flaps has been accurately modeled? I bought the Hawker, but with a hectic work schedule I have not been able to try it yet. Although the mixed reviews have me concerned.
  6. All Virtavia products for FSX are 50% off. This does not seem to include the new FSX SE versions, however I am not sure what the difference in the two versions is other than the installer. If someone knows I would love to hear the difference. Their C-17 has been in my sights lately. 7. Agreed. The bug list will be interesting. Already someone on FB saying that the gauges aren't showing up. Hopefully it's the user forgetting to authorize the new gauges on first run.
  8. Just purchased, downloaded, and installed it. Now I have to go to work. Let the games begin.
  9. As the release of Carenado's HS850XP is just short of 24 hours away, perhaps its time to get a Hawker forum setup, and move all of our posts in there. Just a suggestion.
  10. As the topic says, I am looking for someone interested in doing a quality repaint of the upcoming Hawker. The one I am looking for is in the link below. http://i1056.photobucket.com/albums/t373/Mbernard76/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zps19gnz9p4.jpg I can provide any detail photos of the aircraft that would be necessary. I think it's an awesome paint job and would love to add it to my FSX hangar. Please shoot me a message if this is something you may be interested in. Thanks for your time.
  11. :o Wow, that is simply amazing. That might actually make me take my Xplane 10 past the demo stage.
  12. Unfortunately yes. This seems to be the new trend with addons.
  13. The GTN750 is an invaluable tool for use in any GA aircraft. I purchased both the GTN750 and the A2A C182 just for the purpose of jumping around Alaska. I've only got about 5 hours in flying the combo, and I am always finding more neat features that simplify flying. The only issue I've had with the GTN750 is currently being looked into. I was amazed at not only the quality, but the speed of the customer service. Best I have found yet. The only two things I would like it to have is actual weather functionality. The systems are there, they just need to be coded in to the GTN with data from ASN. Which despite what I've read, they are going to look at implementing. It's just low on the priority list for the moment. Basically what I'm getting at is give it time to sink in, and let their customer service help you out. I'm sure you can get what your looking for.
  14. Yeah his comment took me as rather passive aggressive. It's the typical type of statement that are from arrogant people hiding behind a internet profile. Also known as a troll in other parts of the web. Even with the average age and maturity levels of most of us in the hobby, we still have a fantastic community that I am really enjoying being back involved with. Mods, feel free to lock this one up if you wish. I don't see this going anywhere constructive. That conversation can be had at a different sub forum if it needs to.
  15. So we should not share a limited time offer with fellow enthusiasts? There was no mention of dates on the company's website, and they admitted to having not updated their store properly when the sale ended. Do you question every sale you stumble across? I know I don't. I trust the vendor to keep their prices current, and go from there. For what it is worth, I personally did not request to purchase anything at the incorrectly listed price. Common sense dictates the above. It's not my, or anyone's, responsibility to check with a company to ensure they are charging what they want. It becomes our responsibility if there is a discrepancy noticed after the transaction by either party. Next time, how about not coming into a post and slinging comments.
  16. Which Maddog product do you mean when you mention systems? I have been pretty lucky getting things to work in FSX SE so far and might be willing to try it. After all, I am in this for the "in the pit", VC experience. As long as the VC is tolerable, I am interested.
  17. Yes sir, we are in contact and working to resolve the bug. Best customer support I have experienced yet in the industry. Oops on the wrong forum. I was frustrated, super tired, and grasping at straws. Saw a similar problem and grabbed a hold. Will post results in the FSX forums.
  18. Howdy all. The Maddog has always been one of my personal favorites. I know there are a handful of products out there for us to choose from, so I wanted to ask here for advice. I am running FSX SE, and am admittedly spoiled with PMDG aircraft. So in your opinion, who has the best mix of visual and systems detail, that is compatable with FSX SE? Thanks guys.
  19. Not trying to hijack the thread here, but hoping to get some assistance from the folks here that my be able to help me sort out what is going on after my recent GTN update. Here is a link to my post over at the official forums outlining everything. I spent 6 fruitless hours today trying to make it work again, but to no avail. http://www.simforums.com/forums/topic52262_post326236.html#326236
  20. Reply from Customer Service: Dear Customer, The sale ended on the 15th. The product page will not show a sale but the home page will since it makes me update the module to get rid of the sale for latest products. Sorry for that and i will update that module now. Regards, Customer service Flysimware Simulation Software I guess we missed it. :( I would have enjoyed the Conquest.
  21. I have sent a message to the team. Currently awaiting a reply.
  22. That is interesting. I had not tried to actually purchase. Just saw the prices and wanted to share.
  23. Must be in anticipation of their upcoming MU-2. Enjoy. http://www.flysimware.com/FLYSTORE_2015/en/
  24. I would be ecstatic if they do. I just got back into flight sim recently, after nearly a 10 year break, and due to the influence of coworkers I thought Carenado was the cream of the crop. And boy do they make some pretty airplanes. I think most of their products work well for their "target audience". All my coworkers that sim, and rave about Carenado, are all RL pilots to some degree. And they don't see the same issues that we do here. I guess its all perspective. Do I think Carenado will ever make PMDG level study sims? Nope. I would love that though. There just isn't anyone doing high level simulations of business jets, and at least we have Carenado trying to fill the void to some degree. Please Carenado, do this one right and take hold of that niche in the market.
  25. I plan on being a Guinea P.....pilot. One last chance Carenado.
