I am not sure what happened. I upgraded my NVidia driver and FPS has dropped from 30 to 7.. I am also not sure if it is related to the driver upgrade. I have heard of cases where all of a sudden for no apparent reason, the FPS take a huge hit and tanks! Anyone have any ideas where to begin looking? Thanks!

Just doing some brush-up work on GPS approaches. The one that I am looking at is KAVX Catalina airport off the coast of Southern California. According to Airnav.com, the VOR/DME OR GPS-B (http://www.airnav.com/airport/KAVX) approach, for example, doesn't appear to line up in respect to the runway heading. The final bearing is 172'. Is that because of where the VOR is located on or near the airport? But with GPS, I would think it the approach would line you up on the runway in this case 220' +- magnetic variation. What am I missing? Thanks!

Has anybody mapped the GoFlight push button panel to the Mitsubishi MU 2? The GoFlight module works great with the standard FSX auto pilot, it falls short when the auto pilots are more complex (IE ARM mode). I will probably send an email to GoFlight, but thought I would post here in the Flysimware forum. I know the GoFlight module can map keystrokes to the cockpit functionality, has anyone done this with the GF push button panel, mapping it to the MU2 autopilot? Thanks!

I thought when you update or reply to a forum post it would move the forum post to the beginning of the posts for that topic? Is this not the case? As you know posts that are several pages from the beginning will probably never be read. If something new is posted, I would like to see it move to top of the list. Did someone abuse the "bump" methodology? Exposure is 9/10 to getting your issue seen and resolved. Thanks!

I set the WideViewAspect=True and the side views are stretched too much, causing distortion ie the AI aircraft look oblong. The center view looks like it is scrunched, I like this mode because of the way that it changes the Virtual Cockpit and makes it porportional with the outside view. Whereas before it stretched it too big, and seemed like it was off center.. There must be someone out there using multiple monitors that has figured eyepoint and other FSX.cfg settings to address this issue of stretching, scrunching, and distorting by the WideViewAspect=True setting. I have three monitors and a Nvidia graphics card that drives all of them. I enabled the Nvidia Surround video and got it configured correctly, It appears that you have to run FSX-SE in Windows Mode, and not full screen. I did that and the A/C that I am flying has a virtual cockpit. With the window panned accross all three monitors, the virtual cockpit is huge.. If I reduce the Cockpit view the VC seems to be off center. When I apply full throttle, the Cockpit view seems to pan up, I have to correct it by panning back down. I have had two "Crash to Desktops" . I neeed some help from other Nvidia multiple monitors using Surround FSX users. Are there FSX.cfg settings that will correct these issues, espeically the sizing of the Virtual Cockpit? And of course elimating CTDs? Thanks!

Thanks for the reply... So what you are saying is the MT 6 airports in the BGL load because it is higher in the Scenary list. It seems like MT 6 should update their .BGL to represent the lastest changes navaid and airport heading, etc or have a way to deal with this issue. Is there any other MT 6 user that has applied these changes sucessfully? Thanks again!

After applying the following Navaid and Airport updates (changes the runway headings due to magnetic variation). http://www.aero.sors.fr/navaids3.html When I installed MyTraffic 6 it changed the runway headings back to the default (PADQ RNY 26 changed back to 25) , as far as the navaids and ATC. Is there any reason not to re-install the above updates? Update: I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Navaid updates and now it doesn't change the runway, etc. Any ideas? Thanks!

Thanks Greg, I tried different Trim settings and still I need 85-90 knots or more to get the A/C off the ground. I really think something is wrong with the model. Thanks!

I purchased the PA28RT Arrow IV via the STEAM DLC. The Vr speed for rotate according to the A/C manual is 65 - 70 knots (depending on weight and conditions) I just did a take off roll and I couldn't get off the ground until I was at 110 knots. I have flown this A/C and know that can't be the case. Am I missing something? Thanks!

HI Jim, So far so good. I will double check some of the other settings, etc in the installation guide as well. I am not seeing much traffic enroute. I am flying PADQ to PANC. Yesterday before disabling the Default Scenery, I was seeing quite a bit of traffic. I know you can modify the flight schedules, etc. I also need to do some tweaks to get the FPS a little higher. Its not bad, but I think it can be improved. Thanks again for your help! I REALLY appreciate it!

Thanks Jim.. I found the "fine print" about having to click in empty space on the scenery panel, seems to be working now. However FSX-SE just crashed and stopped working. I am at this point in the install: (FSX-SE): From the installation guide: In order to do so, start Flight Simulator X and go to the 'Settings' tab and select 'Scenery library'. Like you do with many other add on sceneries. Then, select “add area” and the window will show all folders in the [Microsoft Flight Simulator X] main Folder. Browse to MyTraffic Professional folder that you created by installation above , so if you installed as example to C:\ browse into C:\MyTraffic Professional\. <Did this, my installation is on the C: Drive> Select MyTraffic and press OK. < It doesn't return back to the scenery dialog . It traverses to the C:\MyTraffic Professional\MyTraffic folder displaying Aircraft as the first folder.> I can't get past this dialog and return with the scenery add-on selected and ready to move up or down the list) PLEASE ADVISE!!!! ( I posted on the MT6 forum, but thought there would be more traffic here....) I had read that the installation wasn't straight forward... Any thoughts? Thanks!

Airnav FS live Traffic 3 is a little expensive at approx $10 month. $120.00 YR I have used the original UT package, but that was when FS9 / FSX was at its peak. Now it seems Flight 1 support of UT 2 may be the issue as they have no developers on staff any longer. Plus it is about $12.00 higher in cost. So I guess at this point, My Traffic 6 is in the lead. Sim Market has it for 32.00 USD. Apparently I missed the $20 USD opportunity. Anyone have a better priced source? Thanks!

I have google searched this topic, and most of the threads are a few years old. Thought I would post this tread to get more recient feedback. I am looking at My Traffic 6. Is there any other Traffic add-ons I should consider? Thanks!

Does anybody use VoxATC and MyTraffic 6? I have read that VoxATC controls the AI traffic. Any issues? Especially with the next release (currently Beta 7). Thanks!

Thanks to all who responded... I reinstalled EVP and did one flight, and it seemed to work fine. Although I just set the speed to the next faster setting, and it seems OK. Can someone give me a specific phraseology change FAA US change so I can verify that Editvoicepak is installed correctly? Or some other indicator? Thanks!

I installed Editvoicepack on FSX-SE. The installation found the correct folder structure and installed everything to the appropriate locations. But when I load FSX-SE and bring the ATC window and issue Listen to ATIS, etc. FSX-SE crashes. It is intermittenly at different points of my flight interfacing with ATC. I uninstalled via the Editvoicepack installer, and everything works fine. Any ideas?

When I try to download the Network Remote Panel, Windows 10 Defender says it contains a virus and deletes it.. Any ideas? Thanks

I downloaded the updated Magnetic Variation file from here: http://www.aero.sors.fr/navaids.html The readme file indicates when I copy the MAGDEC.BGL to the \SCENERY\BASE\SCENERY\ folder replacing the current one (I backed it up to another location), Flight Simulator will rebuild its index at first launch and the new magnetic variations will be applied. In FSX SE this did not happen. I went to PANC and the runways should have changed from 6L and 6R to 7L and 7R, etc but didn't...24 to 25 etc Anyone using FSX SE apply this update successfully? Thanks~

Has anybody used Beta 7 in a networked configuration? I am getting ready to install it and start testing it out. Are there any specific steps that need to be followed? Or just follow the instructions for beta 7 on the website? I will probably wait until this version is RTM before considering purchasing it. In beta testers opinions, how stable is the current beta on a scale from 1-10, 10 being highest?? Thanks!
