  1. You forgot one, will they allow modules not comming from the marketplace ? Now that all DEVs joined, thay can change the rules ...
  2. Of course I'll take the plunge ... but I'll expend as little as posible. With MSFS 2020 I went for the 120$ edition, then I bought a lot modules I almost didn't fly, because it was nice to make grow the project and having the in the hangar in case ...
  3. Nice, then we'll have loot boxes for MSFS 2026 instead of buying modules 🙂
  4. Of course it's done ... the thing is how they market it, as a new game, or as sim update ...
  5. This is a test probe, and we have to be negative, so they don't become evil. You are really naive, thinking Microsoft makes such big marketing mistakes. Now the poor guys in Asobo will have to fix this mesh ... even if they didn't agree with this.
  6. Does the FAQ say if you'll be able to do in MSFS 2024 everything you can do in MSFS 2020 ? Or some will need both installed ?
  7. What I meant is that if that already happened with a "simple update", with a "brand new (rebaked) game", don't even dream to keep the control mapping
  8. This has already happened in updates of MSFS 2020 if you were there soon enougth ...
  9. By non customers ... but casual gammers that already bought MSFS 2020 ? Nobody is saying the product is bad, the thing is the commercial strategy, community fragmentation ...
  10. MSFS 2020 was already on Xbox, casual gamers will be angry too ...
  11. What I remember at the time was excepticism, "that can't be real, graphics are too good" 😮
  12. I was expending quite a lot of money in the marketplace because they said it was a 10 year proyect ... I see now it was a mistake. If they release a 60$ dollar DLC with missions, I'll buy it, because it doesn't fragmentate the sim.
  13. All I see it's they made a big announcement without giving more info, they knew a lot of people would have a lot of questions ... They are just expecting to see the reaction of people, to take the decision, don't be naive.
  14. That's why I'll not give a single dollar anymore to microsoft ...
  15. This is different, they said it was 10 year project, and they are fragmentating it. We have had huge updates in the past, that broke systems and modules, it's obvious this is not a creative decision from Asobo, it's just marketing from Microsoft.
  16. If we stay with MSFS 2020, of course they'll backpaddle ... but if most people swallows it, expect MSFS 2026, MSFS 2028, etc ... or worst, GaaS.
  17. This is a Joke, it's clearly MSFS 2020 with some improvements and missions, indepently of how they market it. I'll not buy anymore addons for MSFS ever, I bought quite a few because they marketed it as a 10 year project, this is betrayal. I don't mind in the addons transfer to 2024 ... they are fragmentating the sim.
  18. Thats sounds amazing ... i guess it will be the future, we'll see how far is that future from now. The DCS kneeboad is not bad, but it can be done much better, really in your knee.
  19. You mean OpenXR instead of OpenVR i guess ... I wonder the same, if the overlays will work ... maybe they do, they use different apis, but over the same runtime. The garmins with the current "Working-Title" mods are not ugly, and can be used for navigation. I only miss the map for knowing the names of the "things" I'm flying over. I really Hope we'll have something like Avitab, it's better than overlays, more immersive.
  20. With Oculus you can take 2D windows into your VR game, and some people say with WMR you can do it too They anounced yesterday that today started the invites for other HMD, but after that they were closing the inscription.
  21. The same way that Microsoft is happy to support all cards under Direct X ... but if there is an open standard like Vulkan is better. Now we have an standard, OpenXR, since one year ago, so developpers only need to support one API, it's good for us.
  22. If we wanna speak properly, we have to diferenciate SteamVR from OpenVR. When people ask SteamVR support normally they are asking for OpenVR support. OpenVR is the VR API from Valve, and in the past was the only API for using SteamVR HMDs. Now they are adopting the new standard, OpenXR. So yes, MSFS will support SteamVR via OpenXR, once valve has finished it. But people are asking asobo to support OpenVR, what IMHO would be a total waste of time. If you wanna press someone for supporting Index, VIVE, Pimax on MSFS, you should press Valve, it's the logical path to go.
  23. Thats like waiting for a Vulkan game to get DX12 support ... very unlikely that will happen Even Steam is moving out from SteamVR: https://store.steampowered.com/newshub/app/250820/view/2396425843528787269 Valve is excited to announce our current and expanding support for OpenXR, the new industry-wide open standard for VR & AR.
  24. Some distributors are starting to give dates like january for their orders ... it seems only people who ordered early from "official partners" will get the G2 in the upcoming weeks ...it seems this is gonna be like Valve Index, a very slow rolling launch.
