Literally was typing this as well; cracks me up how the non-Boeing people just don't get it. What's the big hype with A320 vs A321? Literally almost the same plane, but longer. The point still stands, it handles differently and it can go further, etc. People are funny. I for one don't want a 727 or anything older than 30 years ago... but that's just me.

List of airliners coming to MSFS in 2024/2025?
moxiejeff replied to abrams_tank's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
Sure hope it's not Aerosoft's A330 as that will never get released, clearly. -
In MSFS, under DATA, you should have AI set to OFF, Real-Traffic OFF (you can leave it on, AIG will still work regardless, but not sure it's helpful). Start up a flight in MSFS, then start AIG Traffic injector, and voila. Others also use FSLTL injector even with AIG's superb models.

@MDFlier, Could not agree more. Even for those who may use other AI add-ons (i.e. FSLTL) you can/should still use AIG -- AIG's is top notch and is always being updated. Love it!

MSFS Update v 1.34.10.0 (BETA)
moxiejeff replied to xenonsk's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
You are absolutely not alone; check the beta forums. I'm on DX12 with frame gen = on using a 4090, i9-13900k and still getting stutters. Performance is awful so far. -
MSFS Update v 1.34.10.0 (BETA)
moxiejeff replied to xenonsk's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
Performance is awful in SU13 beta. Even on 4090, i9-13900k there are micro-stutters. Hope they send a patch soon, otherwise I'm going back to stable version. -
Passenger2 a new approach to passenger simulation.
moxiejeff replied to guibru's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
Hey @Gate99 - they haven't stopped developing it per se, per their official channels -- I just don't think it's their priority at the moment. -

This looks awesome!!! Happy to finally see other devs working on a passenger manager/cargo manager/etc. PACX was my go to after SLC's infamous 3-years "it's coming tomorrow" debacle. Now that 1.6 of SLC has launched, it's good! But I can't wait for the other, better addons for this!! PACX should have taken everyone's recommendations and kept working on it, but I think they're more focused on their new AC. -
SLC (Self Loading Cargo) version 1.6 released
moxiejeff replied to Gate99's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
FFS, what headwind? He had 3 years and kept promising his customers "it's coming next week!" - a year goes by, anyone who asks what's going on, BANNED. Sounds super stable to me. And no one is saying 1.6 is awful (it's by no means the best addon ever). It's not that serious; glad you enjoy it. I am actually using it as I type!! Just not a supporter of the dev. -
SLC (Self Loading Cargo) version 1.6 released
moxiejeff replied to Gate99's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
And yet, two days later, he's calling those customers who complained "idiots" in MSFS forums. The guy is a loose canon and needs to go away. 1.6 is good, cool - next... but this guy doesn't deserve anyone's attention. -
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 - Announce Trailer
moxiejeff replied to Zangoose's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
Agreed, 100%. Also, is the trailer just showing stand-alone missions where this really isn't even in the "core sim" (i.e. are we getting tornadoes in live weather? Are all mountain ranges have this amount of detail like we saw in the trailer heli rescue mission? I just don't believe that can be possible, by 2024, considering Asobo seem to have issue keeping up with current sim limitations/bugs. Hope I'm wrong. -
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 - Announce Trailer
moxiejeff replied to Zangoose's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
I wouldn't hold my breath. It seems the community has taken this as more of a negative announcement than probably what they anticipated, but that's on them - they could have added a FAQ or a post in MSFS forums to help alleviate peoples' fears. I recall being stoked for MSFS 2020 alpha and then when I joined, sure it was a graphical achievement, no doubt... but the native airplanes from Asobo/MS were a joke. How could they have created a brand new sequel and seemingly can't even handle the amount of current bugs, issues in MSFS 2020. I think that's where most of us are a bit hesitant to think this is going to be life changing. As long as I can still enjoy all of my paid addons, scenery AND still do flying that I want to do in a "realistic" way, then sure I'm stoked. If this is more focused just on missions/career side and the actual core sim isn't really improved upon, then not sure this will be a success. PS - it seems xbox is already struggling in current sim; curious how this will go in MSFS 2024. -
No more live weather thunderstorms?
moxiejeff replied to UAL4life's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
Hey all! I've created a MSFS thread on this about a year ago... of course, zero response from the devs. However, today -- low and behold - LIGHTNING and thunder are back in live weather. Was just at Atlanta and was able to record it (apologies, you also will hear me scream at my puppy for peeing on the carpet while this was happening! oops!) Latest thoughts (June 2023) - I recall Seb or Jorg mentioning that lightning and thunder never went away from the sim, it's just that we weren't in summer months... yet, I don't guess they realize that at least in the south US/southeast US, we get lightning in real life ALL YEAR round. Check it out! -
Agreed; we waited and waited and waited with QW 787 and zero communication from their last update over 2 years ago. Such a shame. We desperately need a good MODERN long hauler. The A310 does not scratch that itch.
