  1. Interesting thought. Never crossed my mind that they actually just could have upgraded MSFS 2020, called it MSFS 2024 and moved on with just one platform to support. As always there are pros and cons to both approaches.
  2. Seems to be a resonable move for now by PMDG. Was kinda to be expected that dev tools where not the priority for release day whether or not it was a good decision by Asobo I leave for everyone to decide by themselves…
  3. These environmental effects for sure are nice touch and add to the overall level of immersion. Curious to see what they can do apart from icing…
  4. That would be amazing! Also F1 would be pretty neat. Imagine the possibilities - fly your favorite aircraft to your favorite race track to have a race. Or even add space to the mix. Endless possibiliites.
  5. I think this was the strategy from the beginning. I always thought the whole push toward a digital twin was not solely aimed at Flight Sim. If we look at how the sim evolved with the additon of avatars, free walk mode, airport interiors, driveable vehicles etc. it will be a matter of time until the „world“ of MSFS can/will be repurposed (or shared) for other types of activities. Seems to me a lot like Microsoft’s answer to the Metaverse…
  6. Nice video, thanks for sharing. Nicely shows the jets supermaneuverabilty with thrust vectoring.
  7. As I have limited sim time available the two big things for me are short loading times and simple control setup/ UI.
  8. Agree, still hoping for some clever developer to integrate the cabin more into the overall experience e.g. safety equipment checks or similar.
  9. I will wait a couple of weeks until the dust settles. Eventhough it is tempting to try all the new default aircraft we are getting😁
  10. This sums it up nicely. They missed the chance to develop something new and exciting like an A220 or an Embraer E2. FBW (A380) and iniBuilds (A350) have done exactly that. So it can be done.
  11. I unfortunately have to agree. Unless they come up with something revolutionary it will be hard to convince people to buy „another“ Airbus A32X…
  12. You are right. I was just converting to a more aviation friendly format😉
  13. Definitely, especially in regions like Scandinavia. Its projected operational envelope (100 to 400NM depending on fully electric or hybrid) seems to be tailored to markets with short stage lenghts, where it for sure has the potential to replace current Gen aircraft.
  14. Been following this project for a while. I really hope they will succeed. Seems to be a concept that actually could make it into actual airline operations.
  15. Just to add some more feedback - it is based on from what I hear from pilots from the operator I work for who are also flight simming. Those rated on the G650 feel the system implementation is good enough that it can be used to practice flows for their recurrent training.
