[Nov 23] 777F will be released for MSFS 2020

TLDR: Asobo screwed it up majorly and PMDG can't even use the dev tools for now. Therefore their 77F will be released for MSFS2020 in a couple of weeks

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

  • What are you even going on about?  I have my issues with PMDG but some of you guys are obsessed with constantly hating them over things you're making up in your head.

  • Really, did you just pull a "jUst a pRanK brO" to deflect your complete lack of understanding what a mobile game is? Dang.

Good. 2024 can die off for all I care. It really is Microsoft Flight 2.

PMDG used to be leaders in flight simulation software addons, it's so awfully sad that once falling into bed with the hot new thing (Asobe) they've finally discovered what promises ain't what they used to be.

I will never buy a pmdg product for a mobile game. I own almost everything they have made for past simulations, but you have to draw the line somewhere.

A mobile game is one where the assets are stored centrally and can be accessed by a user logging onto any device world-wide and not needing to install locally. As in the Xbox /console model where you could pick your device up and go to a friends house and play there, or from a hotel.

Of course it's not even a well optimised mobile game at this point but that's a different argument.

No hate here, I mean I love my pmdg planes!!

It's more like I'm worried about that close friend who's announced he's leaving his wife to live with an eco warrior in a tent, only to come back home when the tent leaks badly and there is nowhere to buy luxury supplies from, also there's way too many people in that tent it literally stinks 🎪😉

Rubbish, that is not the definition of a mobile game at all.

I wouldn't go quite that far, but contrary to my expectation that it would take months before '24 would be an option for me, it looks more like it will take years. It's not just the usual initial bugs, but Asobo is obviously not capable of learning, as shown not only by PMDG and the once again missing C++/WASM tools, but also by the forced walkaround, for example - nothing learned from the superfluous logbook popup on engine shut down, right?

The more I read reports of users complaints about 2024. the happier I am that I didn't purchase this Alpha software. Not ready for prime time is an understatement.
