November 24, 20241 yr Seems to be a resonable move for now by PMDG. Was kinda to be expected that dev tools where not the priority for release day whether or not it was a good decision by Asobo I leave for everyone to decide by themselves…
November 24, 20241 yr Basically yes MSFS2024 full of bugs and narrative surround it is exactly the same when 2020 was released. Sensible.

Bob you should know better just week ago they stated that all product will come up exclusively for 2024. Today because there is WASM tool provided for developer they stick with 2020. Tomorrow they will get what they want and their tune will change . Come on! We all heard that before? Meanwhile I'm flying default 737 MAX in 2024. Yes a lot of bugs. And yes I'm kind of disappointed. And yes Asobo should have known better! Still surprisingly with all shortcoming I had a rock solid flight in stock MAX that performed not worse than PMDG 737. It was never a case when 2020 was released. So I do have a hope! Just look back and remember doom and gloom after 2020 release. I don't think that is what they said... He said they did not include the WASM/C+ debugging tools in the developer suite upon release so they have no way of debugging their aircraft in 2024 to make them compatible. The sim is far less buggy then in 2020 but it does need time, some updates, and the release of planned features. MSFS 2024. November 24, 20241 yr Not a fan of PMDG at all but it is truly telling that when even they, who sell on the MP, get the big hairy middle finger from MS/Asobo that the state of MS2024 is a dumpster fire. Eric
November 24, 20241 yr Excited for the “F” of course but still holding hope for the -200 & the 747-400 for FS2020. Please! A. November 24, 20241 yr All the hot takes as always are hilarious.. PMDG does not have the right tools and/or knowledge base currently to release the 777F for 2024 very soon, and before the sim released they were were saying they will have to evaluate and then make a call about the 777F being released for 2020 only, 2020 and 2024 (but not if maintaining two codebases), or 2024 only. And so they make the prudent decision to release it for 2020 only given that's where it has been developed on, and they see enough of a market for that given many users are still on 2020. No, this does *not* mean they won't release it or other aircraft for 2024 in the near future (they absolutely will) No, they are not giving "the middle finger" to MS/Asobo, they are doing the practical thing for now. Despite the anger and setting of one's hair on fire about 2024's current buggy state, it absolutely is going to get better over time.. and no, that time won't be years as some are wildly predicting, more and more aircraft will become compatible with it and soon.. oh look, the Fenix just did 🤌 Particularly interesting on these 2024 threads are those who are still on 2020, not even gotten 2024 yet and have declared a gazillion times that they will not get it, but still feel the need to keep yammering and ranting about 2024 as if... they need to validate themselves constantly 🤣 Len 1980s: Sublogic FS II on C64 ---> 1990s: Flight Unlimited I/II, MSFS 95/98 ---> 2000s/2010s: FS/X, P3D, XP ---> 2020+: MSFS Current system: i9 13900K, RTX 4090, 64GB DDR5 4800 RAM, 4TB NVMe SSD
