SimHeaven's X-World Pro available
Feel free to try to convince SimHeaven to implement better building objects, but I do not think you will have a lot of success, because SFD is a dead product and a Next Gen Scenery is not too far away, which means a new shuffle to the entire deck. The only way for you to get your dream buildings is doing the library thing I've outlined above. I bet SFD brings its own library, so all you do is edit library.txt to also point all relevant objects in there to the equivalent DSF path used by X-World. Something like: EXPORT /lib/global8/us/ind_sq_60_30r.obj objects/SFD/mysuperduperSFDhouse.obj EXPORT simheaven/houses/house_20x30x3.obj objects/SFD/mysuperduperSFDhouse.objAs long as the modified SFD library has higher priority than X-World's in scenery_packs, you should see SFD's objects instead of X-World's. This has been done before for X-World 3.0, btw: https://forums.x-plane.org/forums/topic/324639-integration-of-sfd-global-buildings-with-simheaven-x-world-sceneries/?page=1

SimHeaven's X-World Pro available
No need. I'm already having a hard time caring because the discussion has now definitely crossed into (barely warranted) nitpicking territory. 🤐 Hint: You can override any object assignments with a library that runs on top of the original library. So if you want Cape Cods at Freedomville, but Euro-Style brick stuff at Barbecueport on the next terrain tile, you can simply cook yourself up a library.txt with region definitions that assigns your desired style of houses to the corresponding, underlying DSF file. Put it on top of X-World and voilà, your favourite style of houses where you want them.

SimHeaven's X-World Pro available
@UrgentSiesta , are these houses american enough for you? https://ibb.co/GQgZR0PR Also note the missing roads. Missing data (in the DSFs) seems to be prevalent in the initial X-World release, as there are no highrises as well. Layer 05 Details is a FPS hog. I've also disabled the smoke stack effects, the 3D people and the railway cars on shunting yards. After that, FPS were around the same as with X-World 3.0. I've tried that with the test scenery, but wasn't convinced. You still have many of Laminar's default textures, no matter how many polys you drape over it.

Yes, all continents are individual packages.

Piper Navajo's n XPlane
Time to ditch Mint for a properly maintained Linux distribution then, like Fedora or Cachy or Endeavor. Because Mint apparently does not seem to cut it for X-Plane 12, at least on your end.

Piper Navajo's n XPlane
Not sure if it's still just in the rumour mill, but CIS' next one could be a Cheyenne 400 - which is when their portfolio will get truly interesting for me. You always have experiences completely opposite to mine. Even at version 0.34, the entire aircraft is a 100% functional and authentic masterpiece already, almost on par with Felis' 747. I have zero problems flying it. Rico is an IRL pilot and paused development (and his Patreon, which is very fair) for left seat training at his airline.

X-World Pro - Q&A with the author...
I said that because it very much sounds like you're already judging a product that is not even released yet (X-World Pro), solely based on experience with its previous instance (X-World [Continent]).
-
X-World Pro - Q&A with the author...
X-World Pro (XWP) is not X-World America (X-WA).

X-World Pro - Q&A with the author...
Armin said that about 40% of assets in XWP are XP's. For me, this implies that you get US style houses for North America. Have you seen Günter's previews from Dallas, Cleveland and Tulsa? https://forums.x-plane.org/forums/topic/340675-simheaven-x-world-pro/?page=28 Some more on this page: https://forums.x-plane.org/forums/topic/340675-simheaven-x-world-pro/?page=27

XP12 Addon airports. yes or no? What say you?
Well, that's what you get if nobody produces a library with more region accurate housing that overrides what X-World is drawing. But fret not, the "Pro" release will make much more use of XP12 default buildings, which means more details for the acres over acres of monotonous suburban hellscapes. 😉

Got the Skunkcrafts P51D in the Sales...
Well, it does have its fair share of bugs and has not been updated since 2024: https://forums.x-plane.org/forums/topic/329483-bugs-encountered-on-v120r4/ I therefore would not hold my breath on an update for 12.5.

Sales sales sales@ XPlane.org
Hm. Time for Felis' 742F? But not many IRL short sectors for that one. For GA yes, overall I'd say it's the Concorde. $30 for a commplete airliner is quite a steal.

Boeings Galore - The LevelUP project
No, it's an operator skill or visual acuity issue and not due to any operating system, as the password is clearly stated on the download page. With it, the archive unzips just fine. Whether it's clever by the author to distribute it as a complete aircraft instead of an add-on to the main package is another question.

Boeings Galore - The LevelUP project
Sounds like another plugin messing with nose wheel steering or a lack of hydraulic power.
