June 7, 200322 yr Commercial Member Captains-I thought you would be excited to know that BOEING 737: THE NEXT GENERATION has entered initial testing with our team of beta testers! The team is comprised of more than two dozen testers ranging from "old hat" PMDG beta testers to a host of 737NG captains, first officers, training pilots and maintenance technicians. The beta testing is going to be a time consuming process- and it is always the worst period for the development team because we are forced to step back and listen to both accolade in stark criticism from our team.It is also a time when we begin to feel that we are nearing the finish line- only to realize that we have LOTS of work left to accomplish before our airplane is ready for market! In the past PMDG beta periods have lasted a few weeks. I expect this one to range somewhere between 2 and 6 weeks in lenght. We'll keep you posted as to progress! Thanks for all of your support and input during the past 8 months! We aren't quite finished adding things- but the end is near! Robert S. Randazzo PLEASE NOTE THAT PMDG HAS DEPARTED AVSIM You can find us at: http://forum.pmdg.com
June 7, 200322 yr Hi Team, there are some things i felt should be mentioned:1. I appreciate very much that you are NOT telling us something about release dates, which then will be postponed ovr and over, instead of giving us regular updates.2. As far as i am able to determine you are putting a lot of hard and very well researched work in the 737NG.so i am pretty sure that i will become a happy customer as soon as the 737NG will be released and wish you a good progress.Cheers and best regardsHolger DallmeyerEDDK Holger Kneib

June 7, 200322 yr Thank you for the update Captain. Please tease us with screenshots once in a while :)John
June 7, 200322 yr If it winds up being closer to 6 weeks, that will bring it very close to the FS2004 release (7/29). If so, do you all have any plans to just hold off the release to work out any compatibility issues with FS2004 and release it in August? Eric
