June 23, 200322 yr Hi Robert,Sounds all really wonderful. I am sure it will be at least of the same quality we are used to from PMDG. I bought all of PMDG's Fly! (II) products and this first plane for FS2k2 will certainly be in my hangar. Looking forward to it with anxiety.Best regards,Henri
June 24, 200322 yr "Will you require a DNA sample?"Could get interesting, lol. I would hate to think how they plan that idea! lol.Ryan
June 24, 200322 yr Author Commercial Member Ken-Only from you. We are going to whisk it away to some labs up on Canada and have an army of little forum monitoring Mini Ken's ensuring that the trolls and snipers are quickly squashed after our release date.:-lol Robert S. Randazzo PLEASE NOTE THAT PMDG HAS DEPARTED AVSIM You can find us at: http://forum.pmdg.com
June 25, 200322 yr Does this apply to running the same virtual aircraft on separate computers using wideview? In reality, I'm only using the aircraft once. Man, with up to 4 computers connected on my wideview network, this could be the most expensive aircraft in my fleet. Starting to rethink this .... 9800X3D | 4090 | 64GB | 2+1TB NVME | 2TB SSD | 2TB HDD | 85/50/43” TVs | Quest 3 | DOF H3 Motion Rig | Buttkicker | T.16000M Flight Kit MSFS @ 4K Ultra DLSS Performance FG 80 FPS | VR VDXR Godlike 80Hz SSW | MSFS VR DLSS Quality, Ultra Preset - Windows 11 Acer Nitro 5 | i5-11400H | RTX 3060 6 GB | 32GB DDR4 | 15.6" FHD IPS 144Hz | 2 x 512 GB SSD | Windows 11
June 26, 200322 yr Commercial Member (Where is your NAME? - Please read the forum guidelines!)Don't you do the same for Captain Sim's 727? Don't you do the same for other machine-id protected software?Ours isn't the only one...Please take the 5 minutes required to read the license agreements: Virtually all software that you purchase obliges you to run it on ONE machine only. Doing otherwise is violating that agreement.Cheers, Lefteris Kalamaras - Founder www.flightsimlabs.com
June 26, 200322 yr My name is Gary.PIC 767 - no machine-id protection and single use only (multiple views via wideview)PSS 747 - no machine-id protection and single use only (multiple views via wideview)Flight1 Cessna 421C - no machine-id protection and single use only (multiple views via wideview)I can understand your desire to protect from software piracy, but what about customers that genuinely want a single use application across multiple computers?Gary 9800X3D | 4090 | 64GB | 2+1TB NVME | 2TB SSD | 2TB HDD | 85/50/43” TVs | Quest 3 | DOF H3 Motion Rig | Buttkicker | T.16000M Flight Kit MSFS @ 4K Ultra DLSS Performance FG 80 FPS | VR VDXR Godlike 80Hz SSW | MSFS VR DLSS Quality, Ultra Preset - Windows 11 Acer Nitro 5 | i5-11400H | RTX 3060 6 GB | 32GB DDR4 | 15.6" FHD IPS 144Hz | 2 x 512 GB SSD | Windows 11
June 26, 200322 yr it doesn't make much sense to not allow people to use the plane accross several pcs in wideview. one monitor is just not enough. not to mention that i spend my summer and xmas in brasil where i like to simfly. i also have a secondary pc and a notebook which i have installed every fs add-on i've every purchased, almost all of them, without a problem. oh well, the important thing right now is to gives us each one copy, we can worry about multiple installations later.Andre Weil
June 26, 200322 yr Commercial Member Gary (thanks for putting your name there)-so, if I understand you correctly, do all of these computers run ONE SINGLE COPY of Windows, or have you not paid for multiple copies?Same story with our software.Cheers, Lefteris Kalamaras - Founder www.flightsimlabs.com
June 26, 200322 yr Commercial Member Andre-this is EXACTLY the problem. IT does NOT follow that because you are ONE person, you can get away with running this application on more than one computer concurrently. What you buy is a SINGLE license, nothing more. So if you want to use it on more than one computer, well, buy it more than once. If, on the other hand, you want to move it from computer to computer, rest assured, this will NOT be a problem (we've already developed the way to do it).Cheers, Lefteris Kalamaras - Founder www.flightsimlabs.com
June 27, 200322 yr "that is exactly the problem?" "get away with?" i disagree. the problem is people sharing, distributing and selling unlisenced software. people like me who would like to not only simfly the 737ng, but actually fly it to and play it in a different point on the world or sim it accross multiple screens are the not trying to get away with anything other than our own satisfaction as a customer. you must protect yourselves but i believe that you are making us, the good guys, foot the entire bill. Andre
