After installt the SP1 the NG can't use the VNAV Mod.I fly from EDDP to EDDF many at last time withe NG, without problem.Install the Patch, after take of "VNAV disconnected unable cruise altitude" The Fuel message on Prog Page be 0!This can't be!See the picturehttp://mitglied.lycos.de/arnosos/vnav.jpgWhere is my failure?

You might have selected a CRZ altitude that the plane cannot reach in regards to the VNAV problem...trust me, it works just fine. Looks like the zero's on the fuel predictions may be caused by some data you may have left out during the INIT pages process.

I have the FMC absolutely same configure as the flight without patch.FL280 is not the problem. For this leg i use few fuel and without patch i can use FL310. Set FL 140 fpr this flight an the FMC bring also this message;-)I have check another flight over 1000nm FL310.SAME MESSAGE!

Hi,I have just the same problem too. Before installation the SP1 I haven't any that problem.The problem starts from the legs page.When I enter the CRZ level in the PERF INIT page, 5 of 10 waypoints there are not the speed/altitude,so when I push the VNAV button in the airborn appears the message : "UNABLE CRZ ALT-VNAV DISCONNECTED" of the FMC.Why? Well, during my short flight to EHAM, i got VNAV working by creating an altitude constraint near the airport. This creates the T/D point and gives me correct fuel readings.PLEASE CAN SOMEONE CONFIRM IF THIS IS HOW IT IS SUPPOSED TO WORK!!Cheers,Jamie Blethyn, UK

the nonfuctional VNAV is a definitive showstopper. It should justify immidiate action from the PMDG-team to make this work correctly.Jan Roar R

I haven't had any trouble with the actual VNAV calculations on the ground prior to the flight like this, but what was happening to me was some very incorrect behavior when trying to meet an altitude constraint - I entered a 240/11000 at a waypoint about 40nm out from KPHX on the SUNSS5 arrival and the plane dove at 3000FPM down from 14000 at the top-of-descent - reached 240/11000 about 15nm from the waypoint instead of hitting it dead-on. It then refused to descend any further after passing that waypoint even though MCP ALT was set lower etc...Ryan

I too have the same problem in FS9, I havent gone and tried FS2K2 yet...I have attempted to fly KSEA to PANC, as I have many, many times before, with this plane and others... all settings are correct and have been completely useable prior to installation of the patch...I have done this same flight in FS2002, FS2004 successfully many times prior to patch.NO, I am not using a different format... I am using everything fully American, from the OS to the sims... the exact same setup as I had prior to installing the patchI am looking forward to a quick and painless fix, and will not become impatient as the developers find a workable solution to this issue!Regards,Ted Panamarioff - Kodiak, Alaska

*bump*same to me (FS2002, clean install, SU1)may be interesting: changing any constrain in the LEG page and EXECuting leads to a very short display of right calculated values, afterwards all calculated values are replaced by "---".BTW: by changing some constrains I succeeded in flying with VNAV - and the new descend calculation was outstanding ! Great job done by PMDG (if VNAV could be used at all ;) )HansJuergen

Jens-PLease make a note of the fact that we have been very candid that VNAV is still being worked on. There are many other modes that you can use to great effect in the mean time if you are unable to get VNAV working the way you expect.I would also ask that you bear in mind that I am not looking over your shoulder- so none of us here can tell if you are indeed programming VNAV correctly. We must take you at your word....
