February 22, 200422 yr Commercial Member I am completely unsure if I will make it this time - I have some other obligations this coming weekend, so it's looking bleak. If I can wrestle away from them, I might show my face there.Suggestion:If people like flying our bird online, why don't you create a virtual airline for it? We're sure going to be interested in hosting it on our web site... Lefteris Kalamaras - Founder www.flightsimlabs.com

February 23, 200422 yr Author Captains-*****KSFO-KSAN CHANGE*****Due to myself not reading the SHAMU1 arrival for San Diego throughly enough, I need to change the STAR for KSAN to the HUBRD1 arrival. The SHAMU1 arrival is for RWY 9 only approach. As the prevailing winds in the San Diego area are normally from the west, the LOC 27 approach is most commonly used and as such the HUBRD1 arrival is needed. The new routing is as follows: EUGEN5.BSR J501 RZS J88 LAX.HUBRD1Here is the link for the approach plate:http://www.myairplane.com/databases/approa...HUBRD%20ONE.pdf Eric

February 23, 200422 yr Talking about procedures, US and UK...I'm also used to the UK and EU ones. What is the difference?
February 27, 200422 yr Author Just want to bump this so everyone can still get the info if they need it for this Saturday. Eric

February 28, 200422 yr Have to bow out. Evidently I've been recruited to be in charge of moving our office this weekend.__Josh
February 28, 200422 yr Well, seems like I'll be able to make it at least the first leg. I'm invited to the party, but I'll go there at 10pm or so. Meaning from 7pm (that's local time here when things are starting) until 9-10pm, lots of time! :)See ya all in the field tomorrow!
February 28, 200422 yr Author 14 hours till the group flight kicks off. All ATC in Seattle/Oakland and Los Angeles ARTCC's have been made aware. Be advised that there is a massive flyout out of LAX starting at 1300hrs Pacific (2100hrs Zulu) by the VA, Altair. They have 50 aircraft going to Denver. With our hopefully 20 pilots, that is 70 pilots plus whoever else chooses to fly on the westcoast tomorrow. In other words captains, expect SOCAL area to be busy! Let's show everyone that the PMDG pilot's are the best. Some points to help us prove this are:-Make sure you have ALL applicable charts.-Put a V(voice capable), T(text only) or R (voice in recieve mode only)in your flightplan remarks section in squawkbox. -There is gonna be a ton of pilots on the comms, when a controller and pilot are talking wait till the entire conversation is over before starting yours. If the controller is stating, "Delta 44, turn right to 250", wait till Delta 44 responds then say what u need.-If you are still using Roger Wilco..get rid of it!!! Go get AVC (http://web.ics.purdue.edu/~serio/vc/), install it (very very easy to do) and set it up and use that instead. It is tons more better than Roger Wilco.Use whatever callsign you want to (I will be JBU52). Just put "PMDG Group Flt" in the remarks section so we know your part of the event.EDIT: Look here about 2 hours prior to flight time and I will post the current winds for KBFI---remember that the departure you will use is dependent on which runway we will be using. Eric
February 28, 200422 yr Author Ok captains, 4 hours till we start. Here is the latest metar for BFI: KBFI 281259Z 14004KT 10SM OVC011 08/07 A3017 I will update this one hour prior to launch. Hope to see a bunch of you guys there. Eric
