July 8, 200520 yr Make sure you have the latest drivers, defrag your harddrive, and remove any spyware. That should give you a .0000000000000000000000000001 increase in FPS.
July 8, 200520 yr The sad thing is that my laptop only has 32MB of VRAM :(I do have 1.2GB of main RAM though :)
July 8, 200520 yr Just remember that if you order the disk set, floppies 11 through through 56 hold the main textures, and diskettes 57 through 62 contain the fuel planner. We expect heavy volume on our dual line Hayes 300 baud modems pool, remember to use 8 bits, no parity, and 1 stop bit because even parity really never did work, and do order soon so you can complete the download before Thanksgiving.Cheers,EtiennePS: I still have a working IBM XT running DOS 3.3, and it still counts memory 1k at a time from 1 to 256, and no, you can't bypass it.
July 8, 200520 yr You just made my day!!! LOL :-lolShould run great.. Cant see any problem wtih it... :-lolMan, if you are serious, just ignore this.. Chase Barnett
July 8, 200520 yr I got a "killer" 40-Meg hard drive and a "huge" 14" CGA monitor willing to let go for a good price too!!!:-lol Gerry
July 8, 200520 yr Commercial Member You might want to upgrade to Windows ME for optimum performance ;-)Dante's Inferno:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/121808.jpgBest,Vin ScimonePMDGwww.precisionmanuals.comhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/devteam.jpg Vin Scimone Precision Manuals Development Group www.precisionmanuals.com
July 8, 200520 yr Author Love the replies! Of course I'm kidding, but could you imagine?? Before my grandmother died she was using a Pentium MMX 133. You can only guess how slow it was just to open a simple program. I always offered to upgrade it a little so it wasn't too slow but she didn't mind. Funny to think how much has changed in just a few years. - Chris Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Elite AX | Intel Core i9 13900KF | Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4090 24 GB | 64GB DDR5 SDRAM | Corsair H100i Elite 240mm Liquid Cooling | 1TB & 2TB Samsung Gen 4 SSD | 1000 Watt Gold PSU | Windows 11 Pro | Thrustmaster Boeing Yoke | Thrustmaster TCA Captain X Airbus | Asus ROG 38" 4k IPS Monitor (PG38UQ) Asus Maximus VII Hero motherboard | Intel i7 4790k CPU | MSI GTX 970 4 GB video card | Corsair DDR3 2133 32GB SDRAM | Corsair H50 water cooler | Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD (2) | EVGA 1000 watt PSU - Retired

July 9, 200520 yr I hate to say this but you are going to have to upgrade your machine in order to run the 747. I know that it is a hard thing to do, to part with your beloved machine but I don't think that you are going to enjoy the 747 on such a computer. I will spare you a long drawn out explanation of the type of machine that you will probably require but if you need such help I will be here for you. In fact I just upgraded my machine to be ready for the new 747 when it is ready, I like to be on the cutting edge. Come to think of it maybe I could sell you my old computer so you would be better set for the 747, it is a Pentium II 350 with 128 MB of memory and a 64 MB video card. I could probably let you have this speed demon at the discounted price of $3200.00, I'll even throw in a free 256 megabyte hard drive! This system should provide you with plenty of power to really enjoy the 747 (or at least a picture on one!). Think it over and let me know if you are interested. :-) Just to make sure that everyone is clear, the above was a joke. I am not trying to sell such a system nor would I try to sell a system like that so cheaply! :-lolTake care,Philip Olsonhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/supporter.jpg
