Greetings Captains! As we launch into summer and folks at home are taking the covers off their barbeques and making plans for summer vacations, we just wanted to remind all of you that the work never stops at PMDG!! Michael and Bill are still locked away deep inside an underground bunker somewhere in Wyoming, and are busy coding a remarkable MD11 panel. Meanwhile, the visuals are well underway, and we wanted to share with all of you the first peek at PMDG's next heavy: the PMDG MD11.http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/for..._First_Look.jpgWe'll be sharing more with all of you in the coming weeks as the airplane takes shape. Enjoy your summer, captains. You'll need the rest for your next flight on the MD11! :)Best,Vin ScimonePMDGwww.precisionmanuals.comhttp://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/devteam.jpg

Now I was woundering since your making a Md-11 would a DC-10 be far out?

Looks great.Does the flight deck still look the same as on the PMDG website?Toby

>Now I was woundering since your making a Md-11 would a DC-10>be far out?Actually yes it would. Even though these two airliners look alike and share some similarities regarding the systems layout, looking at it with a recreation in MSFS in mind this would be the same as a completely new aircraft to build for PMDG. Granted the visual model would be more or less the same but EVERYTHING else would have to be programmed from ground up.So with an A320 and the new B737NG in the line yes a DC-10 would be really far out.Besides, AirBleed Simulation are building one... http://www.ab-simulations.com , there hasn't been any new information for months though.Regards,Markus

Ok, thanks mate http://www.ab-simulations.com do NOT click on it, the site has a virus

"Does the flight deck still look the same as on the PMDG website?"Toby,No.Bill

>No.>>BillWhere are the new photos?

>Who says they have new photos?if the MD-11 is for being launched, must exist new photos.

They still have the whole summer to show something, so the only thing we can do is being patient.greets.

Be patient guys!Let the Wizards work without pressure and stop the constant requests for pictures! Things take and need time to be done properly and without pressure. I do not see the point in asking for pictures of a work in progress at least for now. I'm sure they will be shown in due time.Patience is a virtue! And usually it brings rewards at a later timeIf you want pictures from a MD-11 cockpit go to Airliners.net and do a search you will have plenty of them to have an idea and dream of the coming PMDG's MD-11 cockpit and plane!RegardsAntonio Lapa Gomes
