April 4, 200818 yr First of all I have to say you guys made a super 747, but anyway in this matter (MD11)I have to come with some criticism.....SORRY guys!Yeh! very nice and very very clear pic, of the 2D cockpit. But I Leif A Mikkelsen **********************
April 7, 200818 yr Ok Markus, think your'e right!Maybe it was this specific aircraft, you guys had in mind, when painting the cockpit. Looks comfortable, clean and brand new.A curious question though: Is there a way to paint the 2D panel, looking more like painted steelplate and not plastic? (Uuhhh)Anyway Markus, as I said I Leif A Mikkelsen **********************

If yes, this is again a picture taken with flash light. What happens here is the flash is reflected by the "greasy" and worn parts around the knobs and buttons giving you the false impression of a metallic reflection. This is not what you see when you're actually sitting there. Here's one I took without flash showing the true dark colours the flight deck has:http://idisk.mac.com/markus.burkhard/Public/IMG_3094.jpgRegards,Markus Markus Burkhard

This is not what you see when you're>actually sitting there.Yes that looks very "plastic".....but what I really meant, and my considering was: Do a scratch here and there, and maybe some very tiny silver splash in the coating so it looks more powder coated, then I think the real metallic feeling would be there. See your pics below the ND and EICAS.....there you have some minor scratch and the scratches itself without the powder coating, would be enough, if made here and there on the panel I guess. Then it also looks a somewhat used. /Regards Leffehttp://www.jdtllc.com/images/rcv4bannersupporter.jpg Leif A Mikkelsen **********************
April 8, 200818 yr Commercial Member Leffe,Bill did include scratches and grease spots all around the panel. They are very subtle as it should be. I guess these are hard to see on the screenshots above as the images are reduced in size. Once you have the panel in front of you in full size I'm sure you'll like it.Regards,Markus Markus Burkhard
April 8, 200818 yr I'm curious is the Flight simulator GPS built into the Multi Function Flight Display of is it seperate from the GPS on the MFD and if so does the FMS/CDU and the MFD show the flight plan entered into the FMS or does it have to be done separately and is there a limit to how many flight plans can be saved on your PC like each flight you get from www.SimRoutes.com or do you have to delete them after a certain amount is saved on your PC to keep the simulator from slowing down or skipping frame rates Eric Wade Jones

April 8, 200818 yr Commercial Member Eric,I'm not sure I understand your question completely. We do not use the Flight Simulator's GPS at all, the route input, calculation and displaying is all done via the FMC and shown on the MCDU and Navigation Display (ND). Exactly like the real aircraft.I'm not aware of any limit for stored flight plans. They can't reduce your frame rates since you only load one plan at a time while the others don't get touched.Regards,Markus Markus Burkhard
April 8, 200818 yr Yes that is exactly what i meant i just couldn't at the time i was writing this figure the right words out for it i am bad at giving explanation trust me ThanksSignature Rules: 1.)
