Could someone at least tell us if the virtual passenger cabin is even modelled in the upcoming PMDG MD-11? Haven't had an answer to that question yet, despite asking 3 times.

Matt,Vin modeled the interior of the cabin but I'm not sure if one can do a walk about back there. It would take extra software it think, I've never felt like walking back there. I'll have to see what's back there ;-)

Vin,Does this also mean we can't open the cabin/cargo doors?Or are we still able to open them.Greetz,Ronald de Haan

Ronald,no worries, you can open all of them, same with arming/disarming slides. The corresponding alert messages on the system display are also fully modeled.Regards,Markus

Whew, that was quick Marcus. Thanks for the info.I just can't wait for the release.I'm happy I've got my set of printed manuals so I can keep busy with them.Greetz,Ronald de Haan.BTW, please release the aircraft before the dutch FSweekend.I've really got to show the MD-11

>There is no virtual cabin in the PMDG MD-11. We had one>built, but it consumed far too many resources to be practical>within such a complex cockpit simulator....and thankfully so. Virtual cabins are good for messing around for a minute or two on long flights if you have the software, but are completely worthless in terms of the simulation. The 747's upper deck is really small, so I don't mind the inclusion, but on the MD-11, it's better to just have performance. Thanks for the confirm', Vin.Kyle

You will not miss it- instead you will be way too busy flying in a hi-fi (there's a flash-back for the 60's crowd) sim that is currently unmatched in the PC world- promise!Best-Carl F.
