February 28, 200323 yr I only notice "performance problems" when I open the FMC to a DEP/ARR page for an airport that has multiple procedures, i.e. Frankfurt, Germany is a good example....only while I have the DEP/ARR page open, PIC slows to a crawl while I scroll throught the 10 pages of SIDS/STARS....Once I CLOSE the DEP/ARR page, and return to PROG page or whatever, the performance decline ceases and I am back up to speed as normal. Are you suggesting that keeping a large database of SIDS/STARS (regardless of the source) in the FMWCP folder will affect the -overall- performance of the PIC OR only when trying to select one on the DEP/ARR page?? As far as I can tell, the degredation of performance ONLY occurs at the DEP/ARR page when dealing with airports that have a large amount of procedures.Correct me if I am wrong please.I have the all in one, no sorting utility, and I have removed a considerable amount of corrupt SIDS/STARS, replaced a large amount with seatacc/org or from other 'more reliable' sources. It's really only an issue for airports with a nutty amount of SIDS/STARS.Rob. System specs: Dual core E6300 (1.86g X 2), 2gb RAM, nvidea7800GT, Saitek yoke, CH throttle (6 lever), Soundblaster live.Add-ons: FSX: LDS767, FSL Concorde, FT E175/195, PMDG 747X/737X, Active Sky E, some freeware airports.Human specs: Desktop simulation since FS1, beta tester (LDS, FSL), 737NG simulator tech (Threshold Aviation), r sole+.

February 28, 200323 yr "No. Never spent enough time learning to use the SID/STAR free editor"Not an easy thing to use so don't feel bad. I struggle with it every time I try to use it.
February 28, 200323 yr I find it is usually easier just to use the FMC itself for making procedures.Lee Hetherington (KBED)
