Some spoil sport removed the shots. As the song goes, "If there's any justice in the world..."Regards,Alexander Martin.-----------------------------------Previous FlightsBAL341A Friday 27th August: EGKK-LGZABAL341B Friday 3rd September: LGZA-EGKKhttp://members.virtualjet.co.uk/vJsigA.jpg

Spoil sport eh?We do not allow preview shots of beta payware products for a reason, one of them being the fact if we did this place would become an advertising arena.

What is the big deal? The rules are there, Matt apologized, and it is a private forum with public access. Just imagine the pics that will be posted when the DF727 is released.

>Spoil sport eh?Absolutely :-)>We do not allow preview shots of beta payware products for a>reason, one of them being the fact if we did this place would>become an advertising arena.Sounds cool to me Ben!Seriously though. It's an Avsim forum and quite rightly subject to Avsim rules. When the NDA was lifted I should have made it clear that posting here isn't allowed until after the product release. SOrry, that was my mistake. Can we put in a link to another forum I wonder? And please, no moaning at Avsim.http://www.dreamfleet2000.com/gfx/images/F...BANNER_PAUL.jpg

Hey Paul, don't worry about the shots being posted. I don't think there is a problem with posting a link in a different forum just to let people know how projects are progressing. :)

ok, i dont want to get any enimies here, but here is my opinion:DF made a lot of good products. for example the 734. but its time is over, and we live in the present. I can remember, that i once told lou betti (Mr.perfect) that the proportions of the 734 are not that right... he told me: "oh no, we made it with original drawings, it is definetely correct!" ok, i thought, Mr.Perfect thinks he knows a lot about 734.. but he hasn't seen it often... thats why i didn't write in their forum about the bad quality of the ATR model. Again cockpit section is a crime for payware. Now df strategy was (2 years ago): "We dont make the A340, because there will be too many Airbus payware in future." LOL! but we make 727, which obviously doesn't exist as payware (hehe).. yeah.. thats the we i like it.. so i will never buy a product of them...bye,bye DF http://www.igfly.com/images/betateam.jpg

I don't know what ATR you use for a benchmark, but I used to see 15 a day, and it looks on the money inside and out. As for your opinion, sounds more like a jealous rant, than an informed opinion. Just my observation.Wes

Wes:I see many more than that here, and it's not on the money. Close though, which is what matters, I suppose. Just don't ask Lou, he'll tell you it's 100% perfect and we're all crazy. :-lolDaniel P.http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/ng_driver.jpgMember of SJU Photography. Thats funny, someone who has never been on the flight deck, or closer then the Dreamfleet Team was to the real ATR-72, commenting about the way the ATR-72 model looks. I'm just about 100% sure you haven't, and unless you are a real world ATR pilot, been there. I doubt you know what your talking about. After all, didn't the ATR company approve of the model?I'd like to see any one flaming DF here to make a product of the same quality. Admins, would it be possible to lock this? Its already gotten out of control.

That means absolutely nothing. NEVER discredit someone because they are not 'professionals' or because they do not have 'up close' access. That's very pretentious and to be frank very stupid and arrogant. Simply because someone does not have access to manufacturer's blueprints or the real aircraft doesn't mean they can do less of a job. The only limit is how hard the modeller is willing to work to get it right. Also, blueprints ALWAYS differ from the real deal. Nothing is perfect! The ONLY way to build a model is to consult photos of the real thing because 'official' materials are always disappointing in quality and accuracy (anyone who has used the A300 maintenance manuals would know this, and following them lead to me designing the CF6 engines incorrectly. I used the same damned excuse until I realized that I wasn't fooling anyone, not even myself into believing the engines were correct despite being to within a centimtre of all manufacturer's specifications). I've seen Daniel's ATR photos and I will tell you that he sees them in great detail every day (dozens of them, in fact).Just as close as anyone else, I might add.By the way, even Mikko commented that the model was off in a few places, and Tom agreed. But sometimes there are things you can't fix, and people accept that.Oh, yes, and DON'T tempt me with your challenge.

... thats why i didn't write in their forum about the bad quality of the ATR model.I did, but I was blasted by Lou and Tom had to lock the thread to keep order.Thats funny, someone who has never been on the flight deck, or closer then the Dreamfleet Team was to the real ATR-72, commenting about the way the ATR-72 model looks. How close do you need to be to know how the plane looks? Been within 2 meters of the plane. If that's not enough for you to determine accuracy of an aircraft, my friend, you need to get your sight checked.I'm just about 100% sure you haven't, and unless you are a real world ATR pilot, been there.Yeah... The fact that I know ATR pilots and spot within a few meters of the real thing can't compare to them technical drawings (which may be to scale, but they're NOT exact in form).I doubt you know what your talking about.Oh, of course I don't. :-roll See, that's the arrogant attitude that gives you a bad repo. If I criticize, I don't know what I'm talking about. DreamFleet is perfect. The rest of us are ignorant mobs. Should have known that. After all, didn't the ATR company approve of the model? They can approve of it because it looks very close, but it's not on the money. I'd like to see any one flaming DF here to make a product of the same quality.Wish granted. I'll blow DF's VIASA 727 paint out of the water, and Erick's model should be quite close in visual quality (no VC, but we don't charge for our work AND the person who requested the model did not want one). Anything else? :)Admins, would it be possible to lock this? Its already gotten out of control. Why? Not everyone is praising you? Please. The discussion has remained civil, unless you take it a step further it should remain that way.Daniel P.http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/ng_driver.jpgMember of SJU Photography. First of all, the ATR isn't a Dreamfleet product, it's a Flight 1 product. Second, the quality of the ATR is exceptional, inside and out.Oops! I think I just fed a troll.
