Hello,I just got a new comp (gateway p2.53/512mb/winxp/geforce4 mx440) and I have a problem with MSFS02... The program really screams, I am very impressed, BUT I cannot see any menu options. If I push "alt", the sim stops but I cannot see the menu bar. If I guess right and click on the right area I can acess menu options BUT they are not visible. Also, if I "right-click" on the screen to change the view the sim stops BUT the menu options are not visible. So is this a video card problem? Do I need a driver? If so, wich one??? Also, whats the scoop on the Ge4 MX440??? Thanx for all your help!Drew

hi,i had that problem too, it looks like a driver problem, i suggest you update your graphics card driver, do to www.guru3d.com and choose the latest driver for starters and see if that helps.regards

Thank you very much!Does anyone have any idea what driver works best??? Again, its a Geforce4 Mxx400 (Gateway)... Also, I notices that the sim pauses for a few seconds when i move the mouse across the panel. This is very weird because, otherwise, the sim is extremely fluid, very acceptable!. Thanks for your help!Drew

I would say that the vertical height on your monitor is too far above the crt mask. Go into your monitor settings and adjust the position of the picture.

>I would say that the vertical height on your monitor is too>far above the crt mask. Go into your monitor settings and>adjust the position of the picture.>Problem is even when I right click on the panel or on the scenery the sim pauses but does not show the menue bars...

What Carmine is referring to is the vertical allignment on your monitor. Try using your monitor screen controls to physically adjust the "box" your monitor's CRT is projecting, either by moving it down or by reducing the vertical height.Hope you solve the problem,Alstair

I understand this but lets say you are in full screen/no panel view (By pushing "W" 2 time to get rid of the panel and then the gauges)... If you then right click right on the center of the screen, lets say to open the spot or tower view, the menu that allows you to do so is a horizontal one that is positioned where you clicked with your mouse. I do not see this menue but the sim does pause and if I randomly click the screen I can get lucky and access a different view. I also noticed that the atc text is a little blury and deformed. I am dloading the 40.72's right now to see if it helps. Does anyone have any clues or better drivers??? Thanx!Drew

That sounds like the Nvidia driver issue that appeared after WinXP SP1 was installed. As you have a new PC then SP1 would be preloaded with XP. The issue was if I can remember something to do with antialiasing. If you selected antialiasing in the game then for some reason the menu bar wouldnt show up in full screen mode. If you turned antialiasing off it would then appear. New drivers for your graphics card help with that problem. Go to the gateway website and download the latest drivers for your card. As long as they are not that old then that problem you are having should go away.Regarding what driver is best well thats hard to say. People have different results with all sorts of PCs and geforce cards. What is good on one PC someetimes is bad on another. Read this thread though it might help abit.http://www.flightsimnetwork.com/dcforum/DC...ID10/40100.htmlCheers

The 43.51 drivers seem pretty solid and contain all the latest fixes..best graphics quality as well..If this does not work for you, suggest going back to the 30.82 drivers which are universally regarded as "bullet proof".
