Is it possible to use a Wide Screen monitor with FS9 without distortion? I have been considering upgrading to a 21" 16x9 LCD monitorThanksAndrew.

Hi Andrew,In addition to my home computer which is set up as a simulator I also use FS2004 on my laptop which has a 16:10 widescreen ratio. 2d panels are quite distorted but flying from VC is quite nice with the wider view. I recently also got TrackIR4 which works nicely and I highly recommend if you can afford such an item.

Using a 24" widescreen right now!

I'm using a 20" dell widescreen (16x10). 2d gauges are oval, but 3d is, as the others say, quite nice.I'm hoping to start a home-grown movement for people to develop 2d panels that are appropriate for widescreens, but I"m not holding my breath.

actually the 2D cockpit looks awesome in 24" everything is so big crisp n clear!

Then display your radio panel or whatever panel you want and place it in the new real estate that you got.Save it. Next time you load this saved flight...
