December 15, 200520 yr >...Now if you want to talk>VC no offense MagicMan, you are wrong, you get a tremendous>amount MORE viewing area, seeing is believing... Most people>run FS at 1024*760 1280*1024 or 1600*1200, I run at 1920*1200.> How can you say I am losing viewing area? Guys, no>disrespect intended, all of the number crunching at statistics>are great and in 2-D a lot of what you say is correct, but I>invite any of you over to my place to fly VC 1920*1200 on a 24>inch widescreen and tell me you don't want one right away. >-PaulBut you seem to be missing my point. I'm not saying that 1920*1200 isn't wonderful but you are saying that widescreen is giving you more when it is not. YOU are seeing more because you have upped the size and resolution. Of course 1920x1200 will give you more than the other resolutions you quoted, it is simply a higher resolution.I am not wrong, what you see as widescreen and having more screen space at the sides, I see as a 4:3 screen with the top cut off, loosing space from the vertical. As said, that exact same width of monitor on your desk in a 4:3 ratio would give you a 1920x1440 resolution, i.e. 240 pixels MORE in the vertical.
