Hey, mate, our set-ups are so similar, you may not believe this but I also had a 21" and 17" CRT that I donated to charity 6 mos. ago 'cos I was done with 'em. They served me great for 4 years but it was time to kiss e'm goodbye and God speed. So off they went!Be sure to post your 3x19 results and any other experiments. I shall eagerly await the results!JS

Don't forget to make your LCD adjustments in the DISPLAY/CONTROL PANEL and I believe you need to re-set a "switch" (line of code) for widescreen display inside the fs9.cfg file as well. Somebody else should reconfirm this, please....?Good luck!JS

thanks JS i am going to first use the 2405 and sit the other 2 19 on the left and right side, if it looks like crap i will just put the 3 19" next to each other.By the way yesterday i used to 1024 x 1280 resolution on the Dell and then booted up FS and went into the cockpit of the PSS 777 and i found it quite blurry, do you think its because i went down resolutions from the native resolutions for the 2405? Is this what i should also expect from the 3x19" LCDs i.e blurriness in the cockpit.

No, not at all.Today, I used a spanned horizontal res of 2560x1024 with my DELL 24" plus the DELL 20.1" and it was bloody fantastic--clear, crisp, and stunning on a total of 38" diagonal span. So a lower res should NOT render thing blurry or "fuzzy". It might be a tad less crisp than the native res, but should NOT be blurry or unsightly in any way.I also can still use my classic 2D panels for the 707 and DC-10 in spanned mode when I re-size them into the 24" DELL alone and they are amazingly clear and beautiful. When you use 3x19" + TH2G at the combined total MATROX driven res of 3840x1024, you should see crystal clear images and gauges because it will be the native res of your new 19" LCD panels. I am thinking now about just buying another DELL 20.1" LCD and sticking it on the left side of my DELL 24", and also getting TH2G. But DELL's prices are just bloody mad these days--amazingly high, unreasonably so.Incidentally, I read an article yesterday where a tech mag tested the DELL 30" LCD and also ran 2x20.1" DELL LCDs that were turned on their side, at 90 deg, in "Portrait" mode. The two smaller LCDs arre exactly the same length as the DELL 30" LCD is high so the fit was physically perfect. This is gonna be a period of very interesting display experimentation for us FS nutters, eh ?!JS

yes it is, all the fun about this hobby,i just imagine myself flying the 777 with three screens though those white fluffy clouds, ohhh what a feeling!anyway back to reality, i wonder why it was so blurry when i went down to 1024 resolution in the Dell 2405, i mean it was very crisp in the 1920 resolution, anyways as you said things should be crisp in the three 19" samsung monitors i am about to get.

I am quite confident (about 101%) that your 3x19 Samsungs will yield a stunning display for you. Not a worry in sight--even with a 150 mile FS horizon at FL390 !JS

It will be interesting to see whether your 7600 will be up to the task. I think it will be (with FS9 at least).Gary

yes thanks, i have also posted there, got some tips from there as well, must say this is a lot better than a 24 display, should have done this the first time instead of getting the 2405. Still got a few more tweaks to do should be ready to give a 'test' run on the weekend on Vatsim.

Good work!Because of your action, I am now thinking more seriously about buying another 20.1" DELL to go with my existing one and having the 24" LCD in the middle with TH2G. The displays would not line up perfectly, but I would have huge size and my experiment so far with the 24" and the 20.1" together show that they can work together about 80% well in terms of "seamlessness". I have thought about buying 3x19" but it is a lot more costly and I lose my 24" in the process which I really do not want to do. What do you think? It will be interesting to see your further views on your more consistent TH2G set-up.Well done!JS
