TrackIR or CH Yoke

Featured Replies

For someone new to flight sims, which would you recommend they buy first, a TrackIR or a CH Yoke? Can't get both at the same time.

Hi,I have both and if I had to choose which one to buy first it would be the CH Yoke.TrackIR is very cool but only can be used in VC, so you probably won't use it in all your aircraft. The flight yoke however I consider as standard equipment for FS.But to each his own.

TrackIR4 without a doubt. Best bit of hardware EVER designed for Flightsim. Then get the yoke when you can. The extended movement of the axis leads to more sensitive control and reality.

Yep, TrackIR. You can get by with a joystick.Cheers,Noel.

Well assuming you have a joystick I'd go with TrackIr....but if you've been flying with the keyboard I'd of course go with a yoke first

I would go for the yoke. Simulating aircraft needs realistic controls. Personally I prefer good controls over easy/realistic viewing in VC. And yes, I do own TrackIR4 as well and yes it's very good.
