November 8, 200718 yr Hi Gary,I have a question about the TH2GO.will the TH2GO able to adjust the view if I use 3 monitors and position the 2 at both sides with some angle?just like this / ThanksAlkit
November 8, 200718 yr Alkit,I don't know yet, as whilst I have received my TH2G box, the four monitors I have ordered are yet to ship. That pic above is from two 22" widescreen displays spanned together.Having said that, the pics on Matrox's website show the outer monitors adjusted about 30-45 degrees in compared to the center monitor, so I'd say yes.Gary 9800X3D | 4090 | 64GB | 2+1TB NVME | 2TB SSD | 2TB HDD | 85/50/43” TVs | Quest 3 | DOF H3 Motion Rig | Buttkicker | T.16000M Flight Kit MSFS @ 4K Ultra DLSS Performance FG 80 FPS | VR VDXR Godlike 80Hz SSW | MSFS VR DLSS Quality, Ultra Preset - Windows 11 Acer Nitro 5 | i5-11400H | RTX 3060 6 GB | 32GB DDR4 | 15.6" FHD IPS 144Hz | 2 x 512 GB SSD | Windows 11

November 9, 200718 yr this is impressive!!if you change the position angle of your LCDs, how do you change the focus of the side view monitors and match the image as a wide view?I am using a dual port display card (8800GTS 256). I try to use it with my two 15" monitors for testing a wide view. For my case, is "undock and drag" the only way I can achieve multi-display? I can undock and drag a second view, however, the fps will drop a lot. Apart from the performance issue.Thank you very much!Alkit
November 9, 200718 yr Alkit,I'm not sure what you mean. You keep the monitor bezels right next to each other and then cant the side monitors in until it looks right. There is no need to undock any views as the TH2G creates a single 3840x1024 output that acts as one monitor. It's similar to what I could do when using horizontal span with my 2x22" widescreen LCDs, except I can now do it across 3 displays instead of 2. If you are running WinXP, you should be able to create a spanned desktop to try it out for yourself. Unfortunately, Vista does not support spanned displays and you need a DH2G or TH2G to acheive this.Gary 9800X3D | 4090 | 64GB | 2+1TB NVME | 2TB SSD | 2TB HDD | 85/50/43” TVs | Quest 3 | DOF H3 Motion Rig | Buttkicker | T.16000M Flight Kit MSFS @ 4K Ultra DLSS Performance FG 80 FPS | VR VDXR Godlike 80Hz SSW | MSFS VR DLSS Quality, Ultra Preset - Windows 11 Acer Nitro 5 | i5-11400H | RTX 3060 6 GB | 32GB DDR4 | 15.6" FHD IPS 144Hz | 2 x 512 GB SSD | Windows 11
November 9, 200718 yr Gary- looking good! Impressive. You should be able to get rid of any apparent horizon curvature by ensuring that the mons are at right angles to the line of vision-ie tilt them back a bit if necessary. When you do this you may have to slightly shim the outer bases to keep the mon side bezels touching. Could you post your approx location, altitude, heading in that pic?I'd like to try a comparison screenie with my triple GPU setup.Hey- eventually, we WILL convince the world to go multi mon!!!!Cheers Alex Reid CYYJ
November 9, 200718 yr Alex, The angle of the photo makes the bezel alignment look far worse that it actually is. It looks pretty good from straight on.Re location in that pic, it's running one of the F/A-18 missions in Acceleration and is about 5 miles directly east of the Cape Canaveral runway heading West.Gary 9800X3D | 4090 | 64GB | 2+1TB NVME | 2TB SSD | 2TB HDD | 85/50/43” TVs | Quest 3 | DOF H3 Motion Rig | Buttkicker | T.16000M Flight Kit MSFS @ 4K Ultra DLSS Performance FG 80 FPS | VR VDXR Godlike 80Hz SSW | MSFS VR DLSS Quality, Ultra Preset - Windows 11 Acer Nitro 5 | i5-11400H | RTX 3060 6 GB | 32GB DDR4 | 15.6" FHD IPS 144Hz | 2 x 512 GB SSD | Windows 11
November 9, 200718 yr Gary- thank you, here are a couple of nearly same location screenshots for comparison. These are FS9/ @9000', using triple GPU's and the DreamFleet Baron. Hope my positioning is close enough. Interesting to see FSX & FS9 scenery compared- FS9 @1.0 Zoom- your FSX-TH2GO @ ? The misalignment between monitors is caused by the bezels being deleted & the images touching each other. (There are missing slices of scenery hidden behind the deleted bezels just as behind a car's windshield pillars). My left bezel separation is actually 2.3" & right 3.5"- 1LCD, 2CRTs. The right mon has a 9
November 10, 200718 yr Welcome to the club Gary. Did you notice a significant drop in frames? Does anyone know whether the ATI cards support TH2GO yet? Regards Howard H D Isaacs

November 10, 200718 yr Nice shots too Alex. Mine is at defaut WideViewAspect=True, which is 0.70 Zoom. Interestingly, the resultant zoom looks about the same as yours.Gary 9800X3D | 4090 | 64GB | 2+1TB NVME | 2TB SSD | 2TB HDD | 85/50/43” TVs | Quest 3 | DOF H3 Motion Rig | Buttkicker | T.16000M Flight Kit MSFS @ 4K Ultra DLSS Performance FG 80 FPS | VR VDXR Godlike 80Hz SSW | MSFS VR DLSS Quality, Ultra Preset - Windows 11 Acer Nitro 5 | i5-11400H | RTX 3060 6 GB | 32GB DDR4 | 15.6" FHD IPS 144Hz | 2 x 512 GB SSD | Windows 11
November 10, 200718 yr Howard,You should know me by now. I can't change anything on my system without benchmarking it :-)As measured using my dynamic FSX benchmark, my system goes from 25.8 to 21.1 FPS average going from 1280x1024 to 3840x1024. In other words, I lose 18.3% performance for a 200% increase in screen real estate, which is entirely acceptable IMO.Re ATI cards supporting TH2G, yes they do but they don't support the full capability of the TH2G. Per Matrox's website, the ATI cards are limited to 2400x600, which is 800x600 for each of three screens versus 1280x1024 that both TH2G and a 19" LCD is capable of.Gary 9800X3D | 4090 | 64GB | 2+1TB NVME | 2TB SSD | 2TB HDD | 85/50/43” TVs | Quest 3 | DOF H3 Motion Rig | Buttkicker | T.16000M Flight Kit MSFS @ 4K Ultra DLSS Performance FG 80 FPS | VR VDXR Godlike 80Hz SSW | MSFS VR DLSS Quality, Ultra Preset - Windows 11 Acer Nitro 5 | i5-11400H | RTX 3060 6 GB | 32GB DDR4 | 15.6" FHD IPS 144Hz | 2 x 512 GB SSD | Windows 11
November 10, 200718 yr Gary- you didn't lose performance at all!Single Monitor-1280 X 1024 @ 25.8 fps = 33.8 megapixels/sec being seen by your brain. With Triple Monitors-3840(3mons) x 1024 @ 21.1 fps = 82.9 megapixels/sec That's a 240% INCREASE in the number of pixels you are seeing!!!!No wonder we multi monitor pilots are raving about the tremendous increase in reality. As long as the view is smooth, give me lots of pixels! And lots of pixels helps with a smooth image- that's why I can fly very smoothly at apparent FPS as low as 5. !!It's the FLOW of PIXELS - not FPS !We need a new index of sim performance- I vote for "MegaPixels/Sec". -that is Resolution x FPS= Performance= Quality & Smoothness of ImageAlex Reid CYYJDon't let on to the FAA or NASA that you know me!http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/180328.jpg
