Newest Nvidia drivers

Featured Replies

Hi, sorry to raise a post about this but i'm wondering if anybody has had any success using the current WHQL 169.25 drivers in fs2004. Using these and nhancer i no longer get anti aliasing in game. I did have it working with previous 160.xx drivers but these new ones seem not to like nhancer too well in flightsim.reverting back to an older driver isnt an option for me as so if anyone has any advice on getting nhancer working with this current release i'd very much appreciate it.thanks

This is for the hardware forums.I reverted back to the 169.21's from December (that are still on the NVidia page) due to the poor quailty in FS2004.

Sorry i didnt think it was for the hardware section.Hopefully a mod can move the post. I'm keen to keep the latest drivers as they run a couple of other games that i'm playing really well but i just tried reverting to 169.21 and still have the same problem. Strange as all ive changed is drivers since i last had AA working through nhancer.

Guys, try these beta drivers from NVidia.http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_174.74.htmlDespite what it says these should work fine with the 8800 GTX and I get AA no problem. I was recommended them on an NVidia forum (although I use the Vista versions).By the way to get AA in windowed mode you will need to uncheck "Enhance in-game AA setting".:)

I think I spend more time tweaking and fixing this or that than I do flying!

Why isnt it an option? I run games 500000times more advanced and modern than fs with the older drivers with perfect resultsTry it.. nhancer can only override certain nvidia drivers to give you AA in fs so its your choice. wait for an update to the program or use no aa

I'm sorry, but I'm confused. How exactly could I get AA working on FS9? My drivers version is 6.14.11.6921. I do have nhancer installed and I've selected the FS9 profile. Perhaps I'm not doing that correctly, but I don't see the AA. Again, hope you're all patient with slow and technically challenged forum members.Regards,Dave Vega

just a quick note for any one who update their drivers from say older ones like 94.24s to some thing newer .. you may find that VAS FMC wont work any more ... you will have to fully uninstall the old ones then install the new ones .. most of you may do this any way thou . Rich

If you're running on Vista, try deleting the c: Program Data/NVidia folder as part of the driver uninstall process, and reinstall the drivers. nHancer lets duplicated game profiles stack up in there, which can interfere with AA. I'm using the 169.44's on my 8800GT card with good results. These threads were very helpful to me when trying to get my AA to work with nHancer:http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/Ya...um=1205424955/4http://forum.nhancer.com/showthread.php?t=281John G.
