Hi, I see Soviet aviation got its own topic. Cool, thanks to administrators! This would be an occasion to announce our upcoming projects. Actually there are four models in our hangar, but two of them have numerous versions. In the order we plan to release them, here they are:Tupolev Tu-114 in three versions.Tu-114 CCCP-L5611, the first experimental Tu-114 (we call it Khruschev livery) with 120-seat passenger cabin http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/87217.jpgTu-114 CCCP-76490 in Aeroflot - Japan Air Lines joint livery, apart from a JAL logo, it was the standard livery for this plane. This one comes in 105-seat cabin layout with the first class cabinhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/87218.jpgTu-114 CCCP-76485 in standard Aeroflot 70-ies livery. Comes in a 220-seat layout for domestic flights.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/87219.jpg

Samdim, these look gorgeous ! I love the first two ones.A while ago I was almost ready to buy a model of the Tu-114 in 1:200, but it was a bit too expensive. Now sold out unfortunately.http://www.aviation-center.de/cgi-bin/webs...CA7A&t=temarticHowever, how do we navigate in your Tu-114 ?Michael

Tupolev TU-134 will come out later. At the moment, the virtual cockpit is not ready at all, there is no working panel and no flight dynamics. But four models are expected:Tu-134A is the most produced version in the Tu-134 family. http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/87321.jpgTu-134B is a modernized version without the navigator's glass nosehttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/87322.jpgTu-134-1 is the first production version, all the units of this type have been replaced by Tu-134A. There are many differences between -A and -1 versions: the latter has no spoilers, no thrust reversers, different cabin, shorter fuselage, breaking parachute, breaking shield under the fuselage, etc...http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/87323.jpgFinally, there will be a military navigator's school version UBL.

Outstanding, Samdim!! I cannot wait for all of them, especially the Tu-134 and the Yak-42!If you need any testers, just shout!

There is a great work going on creating a new patch (number 2) for An24-RV. There was also a very good idea to release a completely new package with patch 2. Samdim also promised some changes on the plane. I have some ideas regarding this:- Could we define the new components of such a package? Dynamics will be there for sure. Samdim promised landing lights visible from inside the 2D cockpit. Anything else?- Is it possible to create a combined package with AN24 and AN26?- I plan to complete the English Navigation document this month. That can be part of the pack also.- What could be the deadline for this new package?Gabor

Awesome work Samdim! =)Will the Yak feature LOD modelling? The reason I'm asking is due to the fact that I want to use this for AI as well ;)Jaco du PreezProject [email protected][a href=http://www.projectopensky.com" target="_blank]Project Opensky Homepage[/a]

No, Yak isn't designed for traffic. If you want a traffic Yak-42, there is already a smart model by A.Nikolaev (xomer), search at avsim.ru or here.

Thanks Samdim =)Got it! Much better than the one I was using. Now we just need a good (and frame rate friendly) IL-96 for AI ;-)Jaco du PreezProject [email protected][a href=http://www.projectopensky.com" target="_blank]Project Opensky Homepage[/a]

Hi Samdim,You mentioned earlier that it would be good to put together a new release of AN-24RV with all patches, dynamics and possible with some enhancements (landing lights visible from cockpit etc.). I think it is a great idea. I have some suggestions:- I would be happy to add my detailed English AN24 documentation to the package. It is in production now and presently I am covering Navigation only, but I could add general parts as well.- Is it possible to create an AN24-AN26 common package? If I understand correctly these planes are using a lot of common components and then managing patches, add-ons wold be much more convenient.Gabor

Hi,On september 15, 1959, that is 45 years ago, Tupolev Tu-114 made it first transatlantic flight relying Moscow and New York. To celebrate this event, we've decided to release the package Tu-114 tomorrow. Check up avsim file library. The package will be split into three parts: the base installation program (that installs the first Tupolev Tu-114 unit, the panel, the sounds and the complete documentation), and two more installers to add two liveries and two different cabin layouts.Don't worry for the russian-language panel - just activate help tooltips and most of the gauges will be easy to understand. The supplied documentation is also quite complete. We strongly recommend to read it.Have a nice flight :)
