FSX beta versus FSX demo

Featured Replies

Hey,I've got both installed here and I see massive differences between them. BETA doesn't seem polished at all, very buggy. Demo runs great. After waiting 10 hours to download all 8GB it was off my system in less than 60mins - very disappointing :(If theres meant to only be a weeks worth of difference here then I'd say we're in for a treat come the final build :)Hope the demo build was newer as performance is superb on my Core 2 Duo, BETA runs terrible.Anyone else think the same?Nels

I didn't think the demo and the beta were compatible on the same system.

Yes actually I also think it runs like a dog.just hope the full release is better than this which it will be Im sure.also blurry as #### - who remebers all the hours setting up config files here we go again lolSun

Well the devs have said that they have fixed the blurries in the final build along with numerous other bugs.

A beta? With bugs? Nooo, it can't be! What kind of god would allow this to happen?

They might have reduced the blurries in the final build, i doubt they are gone.

hmm, just wondering... did anyone try combining the beta resources with the demo executable (and the acompanying DLLs...etc) ??

I'm currently downloading the beta. I hope I don't have the smae results. Even though it's a beta and will have bugs I'm sure the final will be near perfect.Ryan

You're kidding right? What you spent 10 hours downloading was not a "sneak peek" of the final version...it was a priviledged opportunity to provide valuable constructive feedback.Nick

You agree to a beta to help the dev's find and fix problems. If you were not planning on doing that why did you apply?

Are you sure Bill? The demo seems to be only 5 days older than the beta to me ...

That's not the case at all. What he downloaded was a full-version, time-limited demo, not a beta test version. The beta test is over. There is no mechanism to provide feedback, constructive or otherwise, from the FilePlanet download. Doug

What he downloaded was BETA 3.And what makes you think that beta testing has ended?Nick
