Reversers problem

Recommended Posts

I'm having a problem with the reversers. When I land and use F2 to deploy in landing or RTO, the deployment sound wav plays over and over, until speed is below 60 kts.scott s..

I dont think the reverser should be applied untill you reach 60 mph. Seems like I read this in a real time procedure.

I have the same problem when my joystick isn't calibrated. Perhaps calibrating your joystick will solve it. Dave Vega

Thanks. Tried to create some deadband at the bottom of throttle travel, but still have the problem.scott s..

Make sure the System B hydraulic pumps are switched on in the overhead panel. If they're off, the right reverser will chatter on-off and the sound will repeat as you describe. This is a limitation due to the way FSUIPC does control system masking from the keyboard...users with throttle axes mapped to reverser through FSUIPC shouldn't have that problem.RegardsBob ScottATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-V L-300Santiago de Chile

I use a Microsoft Precision Pro joystick with a throttle control on it. When landing, I retard the throttle completely on the stick, and hit F1 on the keyboard which ensures the throttle is at "zero" thrust... Then I hit F2 to bring in the reverse thrust... When below 80 knots IAS I hit F1 to reduce thrust and stow the thrusters. With some engine sound packages, if you go below 80 knots, (the speed varies with different planes) you'll get the compressor stall sound... By the way, thanks to the hard work of all those who have worked so hard to make the "Tinmouse" great...

I turned off the throttle axis in the controls, and just used F1/F2/F3, and no change. The animation works fine, I get full reverse EPR indication, the reverser lights are on, just the deployment sound keeps looping. I tried cycling the B Hyd pumps with no change. Other than that, and problems with the cabin auto pressurization everything works great.scott s..
