February 9, 200719 yr Just plain inaccurate. as well as the fuel flows and many others. "If YOU don't care, I certainly don't" LOL! Victor Buck
February 9, 200719 yr This is what I'm talking about. After over 2 years they ignore us 707 users and hope they can "make it up" with the C-130 and 757?? Like we are all going to disappear??? NOT happening! All the "Psycho" babble aside, from those who know squat, CS sucks. I don't care WHY you think I say this, I don't care what you think my supposed "ulterior" motives are. CS SUCKS! I am an "owner" and state, without question, that CS sucks! Psycho babble that! Vic Victor Buck
February 9, 200719 yr >Unfortunately,>since they use a single massive unigauge in their panels, it's>not really feasible to replace the EPR gauges with a custom>programmed one.OK, it turns out to be feasible after all, albeit with a lot of butt pain. After two days I've managed to hack the CS EPR, fuel flow, and fuel quantity gauges into submission.Liked the results so much I did the same thing on the C-130 to get the HSI bearing pointer working with NAV1.What's aggravating is that it took me two days to do what a CS programmer could have fixed in an hour any time in the last two years. The 707 panel is 90% of the way there...a real shame they never seem to be able to finish the job.RegardsBob ScottATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-VSantiago de Chile Bob Scott | President and CEO, AVSIM Inc ATP Gulfstream II-III-IV-V Sys1 (MSFS20+24/XPlane12+11): AMD 9800X3D, water 2x240mm, MSI MPG X670E Carbon, 64GB GSkill 6000/30, nVidia RTX4090FE Alienware AW3821DW 38" 21:9 GSync, 2x4TB Crucial T705 PCIe5 + 2x2TB Samsung 990 SSD, EVGA 1000P2 PSU, 12.9" iPad Pro Thrustmaster TCA Boeing Yoke, TCA Airbus Sidestick, Twin TCA Airbus Throttle quads, PFC Cirrus Pedals, Coolermaster HAF932 case Sys2 (P3Dv5/v4): i9-13900KS, water 2x360mm, ASUS Z790 Hero, 32GB GSkill 7800MHz CAS36, ASUS RTX4090 Samsung 55" JS8500 4K TV@60Hz, 3x 2TB WD SN850X 1x 4TB Crucial P3 M.2 NVME SSD, EVGA 1600T2 PSU Fiber link to Yamaha RX-V467 Home Theater Receiver, Polk/Klipsch 6" bookshelf speakers, Polk 12" subwoofer, 12.9" iPad Pro PFC yoke/throttle quad/pedals with custom Hall sensor retrofit, Thermaltake View 71 case, Stream Deck XL button box Sys3 (DCS/P3Dv4/ATS/ETS): AMD 7800X3D, MSI MPG X870E Carbon, Noctua NH-D15S, 64GB GSkill 6000/30, EVGA RTX3090 Alienware AW3420DW 34" 21:9 GSync, Corsair HX1000i PSU, 4TB Crucial T705 PCIe5 + 2TB Samsung 970Evo Plus, TM TCA Officer Pack, Saitek combat pedals, TM Warthog, TM RS300 FF wheel/pedals, Coolermaster HAF XB case
February 10, 200719 yr OK...I'll ask the inevitable question, Bob. Would you be willing to share these improvements (if possible, that is)? You knew SOMEONE would ask, right?!! LOL! Vic Victor Buck
February 10, 200719 yr Ha! I was going to ask as well...Now if CS would just send me my order number so I could redownload it! :-mad
February 10, 200719 yr >OK...I'll ask the inevitable question, Bob. Would you be willing to >share these improvements (if possible, that is)?Actually a number of folks have PMed me with the same question. The short answer is no, primarily since I am re-using the original CS bitmaps in my "fix," so I can't send it out.The deeper part of that answer is philosophical...I don't want to facilitate Captain Sim making so much as one more sale of a defective product. In this case, I'd rather demonstrate the possibilities in order to shortstop that tired old "limitations of FS" excuse, and let CS take the heat for not finishing the work.It really is a shame...the CS707's graphics and sounds are very good...obviously it took thousands of hours of painstaking work, and with just a little ability to listen to customers and make incremental improvements, they could ditch the crappy rep they keep carrying around. But that's not the Russian way, I guess, after watching CS and SSW get most of the way to good products and then just basically tuning out their customers until any goodwill was completely cast aside.CheersBob ScottATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-VSantiago de Chile Bob Scott | President and CEO, AVSIM Inc ATP Gulfstream II-III-IV-V Sys1 (MSFS20+24/XPlane12+11): AMD 9800X3D, water 2x240mm, MSI MPG X670E Carbon, 64GB GSkill 6000/30, nVidia RTX4090FE Alienware AW3821DW 38" 21:9 GSync, 2x4TB Crucial T705 PCIe5 + 2x2TB Samsung 990 SSD, EVGA 1000P2 PSU, 12.9" iPad Pro Thrustmaster TCA Boeing Yoke, TCA Airbus Sidestick, Twin TCA Airbus Throttle quads, PFC Cirrus Pedals, Coolermaster HAF932 case Sys2 (P3Dv5/v4): i9-13900KS, water 2x360mm, ASUS Z790 Hero, 32GB GSkill 7800MHz CAS36, ASUS RTX4090 Samsung 55" JS8500 4K TV@60Hz, 3x 2TB WD SN850X 1x 4TB Crucial P3 M.2 NVME SSD, EVGA 1600T2 PSU Fiber link to Yamaha RX-V467 Home Theater Receiver, Polk/Klipsch 6" bookshelf speakers, Polk 12" subwoofer, 12.9" iPad Pro PFC yoke/throttle quad/pedals with custom Hall sensor retrofit, Thermaltake View 71 case, Stream Deck XL button box Sys3 (DCS/P3Dv4/ATS/ETS): AMD 7800X3D, MSI MPG X870E Carbon, Noctua NH-D15S, 64GB GSkill 6000/30, EVGA RTX3090 Alienware AW3420DW 34" 21:9 GSync, Corsair HX1000i PSU, 4TB Crucial T705 PCIe5 + 2TB Samsung 970Evo Plus, TM TCA Officer Pack, Saitek combat pedals, TM Warthog, TM RS300 FF wheel/pedals, Coolermaster HAF XB case
February 10, 200719 yr I understand your position completely, Bob. It seems that the bugs in this 707 would be easy enough to fix for CS...but they have washed their hands of it. I think as long as they can make sales to less descriminating people, those who don't mind having very few systems modelled...and rampant inaccuracies in the ones that are, they will just ignore the rest of us. As I will them. Victor Buck
