Will The Md-11 Be The Last Sim For Fs9?

Featured Replies

One thing I do not understand. Why are all the FSX users so BITTER against all of us who are staying with FS9?
Actually Carl to my observation it's the other way around just as often...you see FS9'ers deriding FSX at all turns, none of which does any good for any of us. This thread had that potential to bring out that bitterness from both sides, such as posts like B777ER (Eric's), which is never good, we don't want any turbulence, only smooth skies.I want FS11 to bring together the two divergent groups, or the combo people that use both sims. I don't care if FS11 does nothing else at all...if it brings the community together again I will be fine with it.

Here, Here I agree. The only thing I will be SO Sad about is all the planes, software and addons I will not be able to use in FS11. FS9 is the first platform I have invested so much money into. I remember flying the stick version before 1995. FS9 working on XP takes up FOURTY-FIVE GIGIBYTES(45GB) of my hardrive and about 55GB of my external hardrive as a backup with extra planes not stored on the internal drive until I fly them. This is my main reason for not leaving FS9 yet. FS9 users know FSX is a better platform but we only wish we could convert ALL of our hardrives, memory and operating system(XP) to the new platform. The day will come when we will have to move on and start over. I have a feeling MS has listen to everthing the FSX and FS9 users have said in the last year and will bring everyone back together with FS11. P.S. MS try to put out something that works with XP or the new Windows 7 (Sorry, don't like Vista)Carl P.
The new NG will be FS9 and FSX just like the MD-11, our plans have not changed, we'll let you know if they do.
I would like to thank you PMDG guys for not leaving the FS9 captains out in the cold, and for that you have a loyal customer.Michael P.

Wow..God forbid anyone says anything non-conformist around here. I will stop here, don't want to hurt any sensitive feelings you got there Macey.
